Battle Club X: Background

The background for Battle Club X is basically our world turned up to 11. We’re going to ignore this whole current viral situation, so think of the world as it was before. Characters have recently parted ways with wherever they were wrestling before to join Battle Club X (BCX). They are all founding members of a faction known as the A-List.

One thing about BCX and Gil Pierce that is a little different from the behemoth company is that your contracts allow you to wrestle in other promotions. We will be leaning heavily into that “other promotions” worldwide feel for this campaign.

Characters start off the campaign in Japan, getting ready to wrestle for the largest promotion there called Rising Sun Professional Wrestling (RSPW). Hopefully, some of the characters have wrestled there previously, and were part of a popular faction called the Gun Crew, but this will be the first time they are there as members of Battle Club X and the A-List.

GM Note: If you haven’t been able to tell yet, I’m leaning heavily into the real world AEW and the Elite storylines. Think of the overall story as a combination of both the television broadcasts and the backstage internet programs like Being The Elite (BTE).
