A character for OWoD Vampire Revised Edition, created by Thanatos02.

All of my characters follow the same basic rules, as noted here, though I don't expect anybody else to follow them. All of the characters are starting characters as outlined in the books. In generic books where a setting is assumed, I build a character that would fit in the setting. Where no setting is assumed, I build towards the contemporary era as the setting allows. In games that have no set point values or start character generation rules, I'll list specific guidelines built towards my assumptions of a 'beginning' or starting character.

My rules regarding fat-splats or series of games that utilize the same core mechanics is that when rules create suitably diverging types of characters, I'll construct one per setting I own. (For example, using Exalted, Dragon-Blooded and Solars are sufficiently different. In OMage, Order of Hermes and a Hollow One are not sufficiently different. In games with classes, different classes are not enough. They must essentially be different characters. Other people's opinions on what are different 'enough' really arn't my area of expertise. I build in good faith.)

In any event, should the character posted not be according to the assumed structure of the Challenge Wiki, it will be alter shortly, and was probably the result of a time crunch. Thanks! I hope you have as much fun with this as I did. ^_^

Campaign[edit]

The only possible liberty taken here is the vanilla 2 points I spent on Generation. Considering the possible abuses of that Background, I don't think I was too evil. XD Facts is facts, though, Phillip makes a great general addition as either a PC or an NPC, but for LARPS I usually take the Eat Food Merit so I can snack while I'm behind the counter.

Character Description[edit]

There actually is kind of a specific background that goes with this particular character, but when I played him, he was pretty much based on Randall from Clerks. The idea came when I was chatting with a friend about what vampires really would do with eternity. When we played, vampires were constantly killing each other and embroiling each other in life-or-death schemes which made me wonder how, frankly, anyone could manage to hit the 1000-year mark. We came to the conclusion that the safest bet would just to take an out-of-the way job and stay away from things that actually kill you for good. The picture we came up with for a Brujah was closer to Randall, the philosopher-hockey player, then a revolutionary freedom fighter.

Amusingly enough, the stat that makes for good comebacks also helps boost reaction time and the stats that help play hockey (including checking) make for good combat stats. The way he's set up, he can argue philosophy, punch someone in the face, and makes a good all around starting character for a PC. Of course, he makes a more fun NPC since most players have better things to do then manage the night shift of a convienance store in a bad neighborhood.
