Background & History

As a child, Arcadia wanted initially to be a nurse. An encounter with fake blood and a fainting spell put an end to that idea, at least then. She instead focused on acting, and became a fairly successful child actress, mostly doing character roles.

As she grew - and grew - those roles started slipping away, and she found herself often relegated to 'B' movies, either as the Villainess, or as the Hard Woman Heroine. She was getting starring roles, but not a lot of respect from critics.

At some point, while filming Clone Cull, something happened.

Maybe it was something the FX people brought in, maybe there was a super battle nearby, or maybe something internal clicked over and said 'done'.

She'd been wearing a wig for the role, and when she returned to her trailer and removed it, her once vibrant red hair had turned white.

Then, an accidental cut while she was cooking her dinner that didn't bleed. She felt the cut, more or less, but it seemed to heal as the blade came away from the cut.

Then a stunt went bad. She knows she should have gotten a broken leg, and she certainly felt some pain when she landed on it wrong, but again, there was no lasting damage.

She's since learned that a) she's gained a pretty impressive pain threshold, and b) she heals with astounding rapidity. Add in that whatever gave her that also gave her impressive strength, she came to the conclusion that she must become a superheroine.

Some people would think she did it for the fame and the respect she wasn't getting as an actress. They probably aren't entirely wrong, but mostly, her desire to help people never really went away. Now that she's got the ability, she'll take the stand.

She's learned a little Jiu-Jitsu - just enough to help her enhanced reflexes and strength - and now goes about without her wig, in a suit made of silver and blue metallic threads. It's mostly a body suit/leotard, but she wears a blue-green vest and black thigh high boots along with it.

But Arcadia's not without responsibilities, herself. Even B movie actresses have to be on set when filming (for the most part) and a large part of that 'genre' is the convention circuit. So far, she's managed to juggle her life as Arcadia and as Chromia, but she wonders if she can continue that.

Skills & Abilities Arcadia heals rapidly. So rapidly that most damage disappears literally in microseconds after being inflicted. As a result, she's very difficult to injure, or to even really hurt, physically. Whether it's the healing letting her muscles gain the benefit of a workout in eyeblinks or something else, she's amazingly strong, and can run quite fast. She's learned a little Jiu-Jitsu, mostly regarding how to maintain a hold and how to take a fall. She's actually quite a capable actress, but her height and weight go against her when it comes to mainstream films. She's also quite fond of RPGs and will often GM or play at conventions.

Known Associates

Marc Milliard Mark is a fairly regular co-worker of Arcadia's. He's usually portraying the iron-thewed Barbarian who happens to be the hero of the picture. At 6'5" and nearly 260 lbs of solid muscle, he portrays that well. When he's not in front of a camera, though, or in the gym maintaining his monemaker, he can usually be found in bookstores, or in his house surrounded by a library that would make many smaller towns jealous.

Heidi Carrera A PA, Heidi's managed to attach herself to the last five movies Arcadia's made, but she never does or says anything except to be an excellent PA.

Peggy Hughs Arcadia's current girlfriend. She's a showstopping platinum blonde with dreams of becoming an A list actress. High Maintenance and a social climber, Arcadia's already seen the writing on the wall, but she's holding on for now because it's a hell of a ride until it ends.

Daniel Duran A neighbor of Arcadia's, he's an early morning jogger. At least, he is after Arcadia took up jogging in the mornings.
