<@Random_Nerd> Oh, Knock. Remember the "mechanism of original sin" thing we talked about earlier?
<@Knockwood> LdM's external conscience?
<@Random_Nerd> Yeah.
<@Random_Nerd> Laz seems to be okay with Luthien having stolen the string.
<@Knockwood> Hm. When, exactly?
<@Knockwood> Because the main reason he changed plans from kilkillkill to just capture is intervention by the MoOS...
<@Random_Nerd> Around when she vanished?
<@Knockwood> let's see...
<@Verithe> Moose?
<@Random_Nerd> At any rate...
<@Random_Nerd> So, you guys had finished with your preparations, correct?
<@Knockwood> Hm.
<@Random_Nerd> Leo has his Doom Stapler, Lillimund has bragged about her Cogs of Infinite Gears kung fu...
<@Knockwood> Well, I think we were about to do... whatever we're doing
<@Verithe> I just moved hemispheres and weekdays just started to mean something again. I forget what we did.
<@Random_Nerd> And you guys had successfully made it back up to Celestia.
<@Verithe> Yes
<@Knockwood> V: We're about to totally whomp that orc camp
<@BethE> And Lili has also made her steampunk device and told it what she expects it to do and that she has confidence in it!
<@Random_Nerd> So, any objection to me framing things in a "you're about to go and seal the rift" way?
<@Verithe> Mrs. Senko almost took the ship straight back to the school....but she couldn't leave all the students in the Sky. That would have been irresponsible and improper.
<@Knockwood> what's the Scene type?
<@Random_Nerd> Hmm...
<@Random_Nerd> I haven't gone over the new Scene rules recently enough to recall how they work.
<@Random_Nerd> Have any of you?
<@Knockwood> ....nnnnnnope
<@BethE> Not the new ones, no.  :(
<@Random_Nerd> Then we'll wing it for this one, and then when we do the "test the campaign" thing, we'll use the new ones.
<@Random_Nerd> Acceptable?
<@Knockwood> OK
<@Verithe> Yep
<@Knockwood> Oh, here it is, 'Butt-Kicking'
<@Knockwood> A Butt-Kicking scene must start in someone's face.
<@Random_Nerd> I thought it began with your foot and ended in someone's face.
<@Knockwood> The characters have to break their foot off in someone's ass
<@Verithe> Does it have to be the butt-kicker or -kickee's face?
<@Knockwood> Somebody has to emote a Catch Phrase.
<@BethE> I didn't bring an extra foot!

  • BethE is now known as Lili

<@Random_Nerd> Okay, everyone ready?
<@Verithe> Mrs. Senko brought one to show how it is done....but she is uncertain if she should demonstrate.

  • Lazarus is now known as Luthien
  • Verithe is now known as Mrs_Senko

<@Lili> Because her usual target is deMontreal?

START[edit]

  • Knockwood is now known as deMontreal

<@Random_Nerd> The Celestian navy is massed to be deployed as a diversionary tactic. All the steam-cannons have been polished to a brassy shine. Crews stand ready with shells and cutlasses.
<@Lili> "So, deMontreal, shall we each start at different ends and see who gets the farthest?"
<@Random_Nerd> The Staple Gun of the Apocalypse is fully loaded.
<@Luthien> (so, where has Luthien been all this time, RN?)
<@Random_Nerd> Off in the afternoon sky, the shadowy rift teems with Excrucians. One of them seems to be making the universal gesture for "come at me bro."
<@deMontreal> "That's the idea."
<@Random_Nerd> (You tell me!)
<@Mrs_Senko> "Ms. Cartaign, you really shouldn't encourage the children to perform these dangerous feats."
<@deMontreal> (And, depending on the influence of the MoOS, there's either a backup stapler or a mass driver as well)
<@Lili> Lili pauses in giving back the universal gesture for 'challenge accepted'... "Which feats?"
<@Mrs_Senko> "The ones which involve war maneuvers."
<@Luthien> (well, then, what happened after the string? And where are the rest of the PCs?)
<@Lili> "You mean History class?"
<@deMontreal> "Really, this is no more dangerous to our psyches than your attempts at teaching."
<@Lili> "I mean, the way I see it, we are performing our civic duty by aiding a country under attack at its borders. Also cleaning up an ecological crisies."
<@Random_Nerd> It's apparent, as you slowly approach the rift, that the scale of some of the Riders is off. It's not that they're all the same size but at different distances. For instance, one appears to be about seventeen feet tall and riding a war-narwhal.
<@Mrs_Senko> "No. That's History class. This is Current Events. Current Events is best taught with a newspaper, television or the internet."
<@Lili> "We can put captions on Luthi, if it would make you feel better."

  • @Mrs_Senko offers a newspaper showing the current events as an example.

<@Lili> (It has a picture of the war-narwhal, doesn't it.)
<@Random_Nerd> (You, along with all the other PCs, are on a war-zeppelin flying towards the rift in the sky filled with Riders, from which they attack the Sky realm.)
<@Luthien> (ah, I see)
<@Luthien> (Luthien's hiding in a barrel, behind Mrs. Senko.)
<@Random_Nerd> (So, if you have any plans to, for instance, fight off a dozen warmains, now would be a good time to prepare!)
<@Lili> (I will use my steampunk device to close the rift while deMontreal uses staples made from abominations.)
<@Random_Nerd> (Alternatively, steal their house keys and sell them at a pawn shop.)
<@deMontreal> (Now, how well do the Celestian forces do against individual Riders?)
<@Random_Nerd> (Can go either way.)
<@Mrs_Senko> "You are doing a very practical thing under the circumstances, Luthien."
<@Luthien> (Luthi generally won't want to fight a dozen warmains. she'll just hide and the bad men will go away)
<@Random_Nerd> Oh, and you guys have access to about a dozen dog-sized messenger birds, which are smart enough to carry messages to you and the various Celestial ships.
<@Random_Nerd> At present, they stand ready for you to give the go signal.
<@Lili> (Lili would not mind Luthi stickers to cheer her in battle. ^^ )
<@Luthien> (right, I have those!)

  • @deMontreal preps some floating eyes for recon

<@Luthien> *places star stickers on the controls to make the zeppelin go better*
<@Luthien> (from the barrel. They're semi-magic stickers!)

  • @Mrs_Senko writes notes via the messenger birds telling the other ships that it would be wise to fall back.
  • @Lili checks that part of the Device that lets her not fall through the sky and adjusts her parasol that will shield her from projectiles and too much sun.

<@Random_Nerd> Messenger Bird #1: "Okay, boss!" *flies off*
<@Lili> (Senko, you know that a) Jasper wouldn't allow that and b) deMontreal has already informed the other ships to ignore any messages sent in your handwriting.  :) )

  • @deMontreal wrote his own note: "Be advised that Senko is a Rider. Do not act on her 'advice'."

<@Random_Nerd> Messenger Bird #1, returning: "The big boss wants to know what the real plan is."
<@deMontreal> (Lili's way ahead of me.)
<@Mrs_Senko> (Hehe)

  • @deMontreal has the eyes loaded in the main catapult

<@Random_Nerd> Bird #1: "So... go when you launch that thing?"
<@Lili> "Luthi, I'm heading into battle! I demand a hug to send me on to glory!"
<@deMontreal> to Bird: "All ships stand ready, we're about to go. Recon ships get me the latest intel."
<@Random_Nerd> Bird #2: "Twenty bucks says the tall Rider in the dress goes crazy and tries to bite someone."
<@deMontreal> to Bird: "Not yet."
<@Random_Nerd> Bird #3: "I'll take that action."
<@Random_Nerd> Bird #1 flies back off.
<@Mrs_Senko> "How improper!"
<@deMontreal> "And if you mean Senko, you lost thhat bet... she's already crazy."
<@Lili> "I think the point is biting someone, deMontreal."
<@Random_Nerd> Bird #3: "Crazy doesn't matter. I say she's too prissy to bite anyone."
<@deMontreal> (What time of day?)
<@Mrs_Senko> "Thank you. At least someone recognizes a woman who uses proper etiquette."
<@Random_Nerd> (Late afternoon.)
<@Random_Nerd> (That way, the sun is at your backs, and in their faces.)

  • @Lili goes over to the barrel and looks in. "No hug?" *sad look*

<@Luthien> *pounces on Lili, and slaps a happy sticker on her back*'
<@deMontreal> (waiting on intel)
<@Lili> "Yay!" *HUG*

  • @Mrs_Senko sighs

<@Random_Nerd> The three fastest skiffs break from the main group of Celestian ships, and veer toward the rift.
<@Lili> "My Device and I shall close the rift and drive the Riders back! And if any of them happen to feel the need to get grabby, the Cogs of Infinite Gears shall deal with them!"
<@deMontreal> to Bird: "Narwhal-boy's looking to our left... tell the right-hand group to get his attention on my signal."
<@Random_Nerd> Riders adjust their grips on their lances, and cock their carbines.
<@Random_Nerd> Bird #1: "Okay!"
<@Random_Nerd> He flies off, so happy to be helping.
<@Lili> *looks at Luthi* "If something happens and I cannot return, you must protect Jasper. And tell Chuubo and the Ring of my battle. Oh and water my ficus."
<@Random_Nerd> After reporting to the lead destroyer, he waves at you from its back.
<@deMontreal> to next Bird: "Tell left group to ready all weapons. They have his attention, might as well give him something to look at."
<@Lili> "Oh and tell Sensei Ping of the battle too. I'm sure that he could then tell you where I went wrong in my destiny."
<@Luthien> "Ficus. Gotcha."
<@Luthien> *hides back in the barrel*
<@Random_Nerd> About six Riders on more-or-less horselike mounts head towards the rightmost recon ship, clutching short rifles.
<@deMontreal> (Now, do I have a second stapler or a mass-driver?)
<@Random_Nerd> (You tell me.)
<@Luthien> (Sara's telling me to go to sleep. I'm rather sorry to call it quits, but today at least killed my brain. I'll be better next week! Promise!)
<@deMontreal> Wait, I'm Leo de Montreal. Both. :p
<@Random_Nerd> (The stapler would be more effective, because it could be built with nightmare-tech.)
<@Mrs_Senko> (g'night, Laz!)
<@deMontreal> (g'nihgt Laz)
<@Lili> (Night, Laz!)
<@Random_Nerd> (G'night, Laz. See you next week.)
<@Luthien> (Luthi will continue hiding. Better than anyone! She'll get scared of the explosions and blasts and all too, so people can be scared for her!)
<@deMontreal> (I promise not to load the catgirl into the catapult.
<@deMontreal> (without reason.)

  • @Luthien Quit (Disintegrated: Light travels faster then sound, which is why some people appear bright, until you hear them speak)
  • @Mrs_Senko pokes things

<@Lili> *to Senko* "I entrust you with Luthi. Do not let deMontreal load her into the catapult. *pauses* Do not yourself load her into the catapult either, due to her cat-girl-ness."

  • @deMontreal has set up another fake panel for Senko to poke

<@Random_Nerd> The Rider carabiniers open fire on the recon skiff, then wheel and reload.
<@Mrs_Senko> "I will not load the coward onto the catapult."

  • @deMontreal has set up the panel to occasionally poke her back.

<@Random_Nerd> And for all that the guns look primitive, they punch fist-sized holes in the inch-thick bronze hull.

  • @Lili looks sad. "She is just a little girl. She is afraid and does not wish to be hurt, nor to see her friends hurt. Were you not the same when you were little?"

<@deMontreal> "Left ships, nail those riders in their flanks."
<@Random_Nerd> Bird #2 flies off.
<@Random_Nerd> As soon as he arrives, the leftmost ships of the line come about and begin aiming cannon.
<@Mrs_Senko> "I did not say she was not sensible. Cowardice is quite reasonable in this situation."

  • @deMontreal aims the ship's weaponry at the narwhalrider

<@Random_Nerd> As the Riders come about for another attack, they and the closest ships fire simultaneously.
<@deMontreal> "Ahead one-quarter. Weapons hot."
<@Lili> "Then I suggest calling it 'prudence' rather than cowardness. If one wishes to be both accurate and tactful of a little girl's feelings."
<@Random_Nerd> Nobody's fully happy with what happens. One Rider's killed, and three are dismounted. On the other hand, whoever was at the wheel of the recon skiff seems to have been shot.
<@Random_Nerd> Narwhalrider sets spurs to the sides of his gleaming mount, and charges.
<@Random_Nerd> The Rider lancers behind him, a little startled-looking, follow, and soon catch up.
<@Mrs_Senko> "Very well. I will not load the prude onto the catapult."
<@Random_Nerd> They're in a wedge, with the giant on the narwhal at the point.
<@deMontreal> "Been wanting to say this for ages...
<@deMontreal> "ALL WEAPONS, FIRE!"
<@Random_Nerd> The rightmost ships are turning to attack, but they won't have their big guns ready until the lancers are nearly on you.

  • @Lili leaps aboard her Device and heads out to the rift!

<@Random_Nerd> They shoot with the swivel gun, but the bullets seem to bounce off the steely hide of the war-whal.
<@Random_Nerd> They then switch to the smaller Riders in his train.
<@Lili> (war-whal. Nice one, dear.)

  • @Mrs_Senko waves farewell to Lili

<@deMontreal> "Get a pair of fuel-air bombs in the catapult and aim for the centre of that formation"
<@Random_Nerd> Spider Crew skitters to work.
<@Lili> (I forgot what Luthi's stickers do...)
<@deMontreal> (BTW, war-whal should have just taken two staples and a mass driver hit)
<@Random_Nerd> The whale-rider is nearly upon you, but his cohorts are far enough behind that you can use a FAE on them and not be within the area of effect.

  • @Mrs_Senko twiddles her thumbs for a moment before deciding that the most proper thing to do would be to write an account of the events...for posterity.

<@Random_Nerd> The staples pierced the whal's side, but didn't disable it. However, one of them has attached the rider's left leg to the side of his mount at a painful-looking angle.
<@Random_Nerd> The mass driver was no more effective than the Celestial swivelgun.
<@Random_Nerd> The spiders launch the fuel-air bombs.

  • @Lili will head at the rift at full speed. She will also adjust her music player for an appopriate theme/battle music. She cannot decide on such an important thing! She should have prepared better!
  • @Mrs_Senko writes the account in such a way that Celestia sounds more like a resort island than a magical world in the Sky.

<@deMontreal> "Aim staplers at the rider, let's get him immobilized."
<@Random_Nerd> The result is fascinating! By the way the flaming vaporized combustable liquid swirls, you can tell that the rift is a source of significant positive pressure, rather than neutral or negative!
<@Random_Nerd> Also, three Riders are on fire. So there's that.

  • @Mrs_Senko also writes the rift to be more like a battleship.

<@Random_Nerd> The staple-gun, fired again, pins the lancer's right hand. As he jerks the reins, the war-whal swerves sharply.

  • @Mrs_Senko pretty much writes everything to be mundanely interesting.

<@Random_Nerd> His dark metal horn faintly scrapes the lower hull of the Deus Ex Machina, but not deeply enough to do damage.
<@Random_Nerd> So far, none of them seem to be paying attention to Lillimund.
<@deMontreal> "Switch the mass driver to get the smaller riders."
<@Random_Nerd> The two recon skiffs that didn't get shot up swerve to meet with her.
<@Random_Nerd> Spider Crew salute and get to work.
<@Lili> (How close am I to the rift?)
<@Random_Nerd> (About halfway there, from when you started.)
<@Random_Nerd> (Not quite within the effective range of your device.)
<@Mrs_Senko> "MS. CARTAIGN! YOU AREN'T EXERTING ENOUGH EFFORT!"
<@deMontreal> "Get some chains around mr. Horny."
<@Random_Nerd> At that, one of the larger Riders turns toward Lillimund, smirks, and draws his saber.

  • @Lili cannot hear Senko. A) Because she is very far away and B) can't hear you over how awesome I'm being!

<@Mrs_Senko> "That'll do."
<@Random_Nerd> The wedge of lancers are trying to wheel and make a second charge, but they're in disarray.
<@deMontreal> "Starboard stapler pin that rider. Port stapler start closing that rift."
<@Lili> (You called me to their attention?!? Remind me to get Chuubo hopped up on sugar right before his next class with you!)
<@Random_Nerd> The staple aimed at the Rider is slowed enough, when it reaches him, that he can cut it in half with his sword.
<@Mrs_Senko> (Mwahaha!)
<@Random_Nerd> However, the secondary staple successfully flies to the rift, as all the Riders seemed to see it as a miss.
<@Random_Nerd> One even made an insulting gesture at the spiders.
<@Random_Nerd> And then it impacts the edge of the rift, and locks into place
<@Lili> "Foul! No fair, deMontreal, you're not even aiming!"
<@Random_Nerd> And with that, ALL the Riders turn to the Deus Ex Machina and start forming up to charge.
<@Random_Nerd> Except Lillimund's new friend!
<@deMontreal> "Mass driver get those smaller riders. Bird: Tell the left group to engage the war-whal."
<@Random_Nerd> He charges towards her on his unicorn, saber held ready for a decapitation strike.
<@Random_Nerd> Bird #3 flies off to the left wing.
<@deMontreal> "Spiders, another volley of fuel-airs"

  • @deMontreal takes control of the mass driver and shoots at the guy attacking Lili.

<@Random_Nerd> These are scattered among the massing Riders. No Riders are killed entirely (it would be fascinating to see what these guys are made of, it's definitely more durable than organic flesh. Perhaps you can take a sample from Senko?) but several are scorched, blinded, or unhorsed.
<@deMontreal> (I figure I can't prove my machine better than her if she's dead...)
<@Random_Nerd> The one attacking Lillimund isn't quite as big as the one on the narwhal. The mass driver rounds don't fully penetrate his fancy-seeming armor, but do dent it in severely, damaging several joints.
<@deMontreal> (Who's on the ship and reasonably trustworthy?)
<@Random_Nerd> (...Bird #4?)
<@deMontreal> (Need someone to man the stapler...)

  • @Lili will let the Device go forth on its programmed route. She pulls the mask of la Llave Escarlata, the Crimson Wrench, out of her bag and puts it on!

<@Mrs_Senko> (Mrs. Senko volunteers!)
<@deMontreal> (Wait, maybe not.)
<@Random_Nerd> Saber-Warmain readies his saber. A speck of light on it makes a little "ting!" noise that is audible all the way over at the DEM.

  • @deMontreal takes control of the stapler and tries to staple Lili's attacker to the rift.

<@Lili> (You don't even know if I can be killed in this form, deMontreal! *confident laughter*)
<@Random_Nerd> A few loose carbiners wheel past the Deus Ex Machina. One, about to take aim, looks confused and mouths the word "Senko?"
<@Mrs_Senko> "Yes?"
<@Lili> "Halt! Do not attempt to stop me for I, the Crimson Wrench, shall not allow you to darken the doorstep of the bright land of Celestia!"
<@Random_Nerd> (He's too far from the rift for you to hit both, and too massive for the staple to carry him all the way to it. You can aim for him or the rift, but not both.)

  • @deMontreal hands a meteoric iron chain to a sub-spider and throws it at the carabiner

<@deMontreal> (Him, then.)
<@Random_Nerd> He holds up a hand to his helmet in the universal "Call me" sign, then shoots at a Celestian deck-gunner.
<@Lili> (One of your old boyfriends, Senko, when you let your husband rot?)
<@deMontreal> "Huh. Senko, you can distract them."
<@Lili> (Ah, an admirerer!)
<@Lili> (Show some cleavage!)
<@deMontreal> "I should load you into the catapult and divert them elsewhere."

  • @Mrs_Senko blushes.

<@Mrs_Senko> "I'm a married woman!"
<@Random_Nerd> The saber-Warmain turns to cut the staple out of the sky. This succeeds... but also throws him off-balance, and has his attention off Lillimund.
<@Mrs_Senko> "And I don't know your number!

  • @deMontreal fires a volley of 2 staples and the mass driver at the attacker.

<@Mrs_Senko> "Is it in the phone book?"
<@Random_Nerd> He looks confused.

  • @Lili jumps from her Device onto the tip of the horn of the unicorn of the Saber-Main!

<@Random_Nerd> (The one looking at Senko, I mean.)
<@deMontreal> (We all do.)
<@Lili> (Huh, does she get an XP for that?)
<@Random_Nerd> (...she does!)
<@Random_Nerd> The staples hang in mid-air, for as Lillimund makes her jump, she enters bullet-time.
<@Mrs_Senko> (Yay!)
<@deMontreal> (whoa.)
<@Random_Nerd> (This is one of her Treasure-based wrestling moves.)
<@Random_Nerd> The carbiner that noticed Senko grabs a lance that had been falling next to him, dropped by a lancer caught in the fuel-air explosion.
<@Lili> "Fiend! How dare you attack this sovereign nation! I will not permit this to happen! You and your friends shall be removed and the rift closed, this I am confident in!" *lands on Unicorn horn tip and holds balance perfectly* "Prepare to be caught in the Cogs of Infinite Gears!"
<@Random_Nerd> He then fiddles with it, doing something with a piece of light brown material.
<@Random_Nerd> Saber-Warmain: "The wha..."
<@Lili> (Aww, you're going to get his number. See if he'll spring for flowers for the date.)(
<@deMontreal> (What about the spider on a chain I threw at him?)
<@Random_Nerd> (It's still in mid-air as he does this.)
<@Random_Nerd> He throws it with improbable force, right before the spider-bola impacts.
<@Random_Nerd> It sticks in the leg of a spider on the catapult-crew. Meanwhile, he does the dance unique to those men who have found that an angry mechanical spider is attached to their legs.
<@Mrs_Senko> (If he brings flowers, they have to be something multipurpose like roses. Roses can be decorative, food, a weapon or an air freshener.)
<@deMontreal> (o_O OOC)
<@Random_Nerd> The spider climbs his back and rides him like a rodeo bull.
<@Mrs_Senko> (This is why guys should always bring roses.)
<@deMontreal> OK, where are the other riders?
<@Random_Nerd> Many are in battle with the celestian navy.

  • @Lili leaps at her attacker and bends him into a round shape, chest outward-facing, until his ankles are at his wrists and his wrists are wrapped around his ankles, his fingers wrapped in his shoelaces. She whispers to him, "The gears grind infinitely fine..." and starts squeezing him into a tighter circle...

<@Random_Nerd> About... say, twenty, are massing for another attack on the DEM.
<@Random_Nerd> One, you see, is gliding through the air horseless, and is about to land on the upper gas envelope.
<@Lili> (I like the imagery of the spider-rider.)
<@deMontreal> "Fuel-airs in the center of those guys attacking the Celestians. Staplers on that rift."
<@Lili> (*would give Senko a high-five for the roses comment on uses*)
<@Random_Nerd> Q: What do you get when you cross a Warmain with a pretzel? A: This guy.
<@deMontreal> "...scratch that, the guys attacking us!"
<@Random_Nerd> The one warmain lands on the gas envelope, and starts slicing with his knife.

  • @deMontreal directs another spider to chain up the guy on our gasbag

<@Random_Nerd> The release of gas blows him away, but also starts to deflect the Deus Ex Machina from its course.
<@Random_Nerd> Due to the deflection in his course, the spider misses.
<@deMontreal> "Damage control spiders to the gasbag!"
<@Lili> "You attack my friend." *squeeze* "You attack my neighbor." *squeeze* "You attack my Device!" "Ask me for mercy and it may be given."
<@Random_Nerd> And grabs its chain, makes a lasso, and starts trying to net another warmain.
<@Random_Nerd> Saber Excrucian: "Who are you, again?"
<@deMontreal> (And did he get hit by the staples yet?)
<@Random_Nerd> Speaking of which, the Device? It's in place. Everyone seems to have assumed it was just discarded transportation.
<@Random_Nerd> The staples impact... now.
<@Random_Nerd> His left leg is now attached to his right shoulder, by a staple that doesn't pierce the flesh much, but still seems bound in place pretty firmly.

  • @Mrs_Senko makes sure Luthi's barrel remains steady.

<@Lili> The Device will start closing the rift magnificently, as it was programmed!
<@deMontreal> And keep in mind the damage control spiders have saws. :)
<@Random_Nerd> Between that and what Lillimund just did to his back, he's not going to be stopping anyone any time soon.
<@Random_Nerd> He makes a slight whimpering noise as he drifts off.
<@Random_Nerd> Interestingly, the closer you get to the rift, the lighter gravity's pull seems to be.
<@Random_Nerd> On your left side, the celestians are doing poorly. At least six ships have been taken down.
<@Lili> "I am the Crimson Wrench! Protector of the Circuitos Glorioso la Ciudad!"

  • @deMontreal gets to stapling that rift

<@Random_Nerd> It seems that, while their cannon are at least the equivalent of your mass driver, they have no effective area-effect weaponry, as their grapeshot doesn't seem to do more than irritate.
<@Lili> (I spend 4MP and give the Device a Marvelous level 6 miraculous action.)
<@Random_Nerd> Attempts to staple the rift fail, as the deflating gas chamber keeps your aim from being steady.
<@deMontreal> "Fuel-air bombs, back up those guys on the left."
<@Random_Nerd> The Device activates.
<@Random_Nerd> (About a quarter of the rift is sealed by it.)
<@Random_Nerd> (Hmm. Would any of you on the DEM have superhuman aim?)
<@Mrs_Senko> "Should I title this "The Fall of Celestia" or "The Great Loss?"
<@deMontreal> (Not in the light)
<@Lili> The rift evaporates as the Device seals it back to 'normal'. Only Jasper could tell that there was even a rift there to begin with! The Device cleans and restores the pristine of the very ether of the place, the Riders feeling their connection with this realm start to fade as well as their rift!
<@Mrs_Senko> "Hmm...."
<@Random_Nerd> As part of the rift is closed, the breeze blowing from it shifts, and all the Riders shake a moment, unsteady in their saddles.
<@Random_Nerd> Then, remember how a lot of them turned to the DEM when it fired the staple?
<@Random_Nerd> Like that, but ALL of them.
<@Lili> "And comrade of the ruler of this realm! The Sun whose beams even now remove your stain from her radient molecules!"
<@Random_Nerd> The Celestian navy take down close to a dozen as they turn their backs on the ships.

  • @Lili makes the Bring It gesture.

<@Random_Nerd> Lillimund, several Excrucian bullets swoop towards you.
<@Random_Nerd> One strikes you in the left shoulder, another in the right side of your abdomen. One hits your Crimson Wrench mask, but bounces off.
<@Random_Nerd> The caribiners reload.

  • @Lili pats the unicorn. "Do you wish to come with me?" She will flip down into the saddle and avoid the bullets gracefully.

<@Random_Nerd> The unicorn seems to be okay with that.
<@Random_Nerd> He saw what you did to his boss, and thought it was awesome.
<@Lili> "Ride for the Device!"
<@deMontreal> (OK... Empower, hooked to Heartless, to fire up the Tesla Cannon and eliminate these lesser guys... would that work?)
<@Random_Nerd> (Hmm. Which Heartless ability? You're currently in sunlight.)

  • @Lili will look at the wounds. "Huh. I will need to hide those lest deMontreal and Senko will become concerned...in their own ways."

<@Random_Nerd> (Although... so are the Excrucians...)
<@deMontreal> (Do I need it with Empower?)
<@Random_Nerd> Bird #1 returns. "Boss! What's the plan now? Boss!"
<@Random_Nerd> (It still has to relate to one of your specific powers. It's a buffed-up version of what you can already do.)
<@Random_Nerd> (Right?)

  • @Lili calls back to the Riders. "See to your injured fellow! It is not his fault that his kung fu is weak!"

<@Random_Nerd> (Oh, wait, Empower is the one that gives you new abilities.)
<@deMontreal> (Hm...)
<@Random_Nerd> (Do you mean Supreme Invocation?)
<@Mrs_Senko> to Bird 1: "Retreat. Draw them in. Flood Celestia with them inside it."
<@Random_Nerd> (Hmm. You could duck out of the sun and then use it to do Heartless Perfection, or use a magnified Calling Down the Sun to blind them all.)
<@Random_Nerd> Bird #1: "Have you bitten anyone yet?"
<@deMontreal> (OH, there it is... Supreme Invocation)
<@Mrs_Senko> "I would never!"
<@deMontreal> (Where's the war-whal?)
<@Random_Nerd> Bird #1: "What if I give you... five dollars? It costs you nothing to bite... him." He points at Leonardo. "So you're up five bucks! Everyone wins!"
<@Mrs_Senko> "You cannot bribe me for such impropriety!"
<@Lili> (Especially with just 5 bucks...)
<@Lili> (Plus, would you bite deMontreal?)
<@Mrs_Senko> "Mr. de Montreal! This bird wishes to pay me to bite you! It must be working for the enemy!"
<@deMontreal> (Wait, how is the sun affecting these guys?)
<@Random_Nerd> The War-Whal rider has gathered his minions, and is preparing to charge. They're angling themselves so the gas balloon of the DEM blocks the staple gun from getting them.
<@deMontreal> "You mean you are."
<@Random_Nerd> (It isn't actually hurting them, but some of them do seem to wince when they look directly at it.)
<@Mrs_Senko> "Your ears are full of wax, Mr. de Montreal."
<@deMontreal> (Can I Call Down the Sun?)
<@Random_Nerd> The war-whal rider sounds his horn.
<@Random_Nerd> (Regular or supreme? Regular version is... slow.)
<@deMontreal> (Supreme. Time to show them why I gave up my heart.)
<@Random_Nerd> The Rider gunmen make another charge at Lillimund, readying their rifles.
<@deMontreal> "I. Am. De Montreal. And I. DO. NOT. LOSE!"
<@Random_Nerd> (What do you want it to do? It won't kill them all, but it can certainly blind them.)

  • @Lili will spin around in her saddle, both to mock the Riders and to do bullet-time dodges of the bullets. But will not let them shoot the unicorn.

<@Lili> (How close are they to me?)
<@deMontreal> (a wish-level effect?)
<@Random_Nerd> (The bullets or the Riders?)
<@Random_Nerd> (Yes, but what, specifically?)
<@Lili> (The Riders.)
<@deMontreal> (Blind the lot of them, then.)
<@Random_Nerd> (That, you can do. Magnified version of the lower one.)
<@Random_Nerd> When Leonardo shouts that, there's a sound from the largest of the remaining Celestian vessels, as a glowing figure shoots through the roof, and then suddenly pulses with light.
<@Random_Nerd> All the Riders, particularly those aiming at Lillimund: "AAAAAGH! EYES! AAAAGH!"
<@deMontreal> to Bird: "All ships, take out those lesser riders!"
<@Lili> "BEGONE!" (How much has the Device closed now?)
<@deMontreal> "Ariadne! Bring that war-whal to me in chains!"
<@Random_Nerd> Jasper Irinka, Extremely Shiny: "WHAT THE FECAL MATERIAL SEX AFTERLIFE?"
<@Random_Nerd> Bird #1 flies off, but not before saying "Five bucks. Think about it."
<@deMontreal> "Staple that rift NOW!"
<@Random_Nerd> The war-whal rider is blocked from the staple gun... but not from the sun.
<@Lili> "Huh. Jasper is extremely shiny today. She must have been saving that up a while. Hope it doesn't hurt. Maybe she needs more fiber."
<@Mrs_Senko> "THAT IS NOT A PROPER SENTENCE, MISS IRINKA!"
<@Random_Nerd> Ariadne starts connecting chains to each other with her forearm's rivet-gun.
<@Random_Nerd> Jasper: "Have sex with proper sentence structure, and also with a close relative!"
<@Random_Nerd> The staple-gun fires at the Rift repeatedly.
<@Random_Nerd> No Riders are in a position to block it and also can see.
<@deMontreal> (guns. two.)
<@Mrs_Senko> "MUCH BETTER, MISS IRINKA!"
<@Random_Nerd> (But both are under the gas envelope. Ariadne has a plan, however.)
<@Random_Nerd> (The closest riders are relatively close to Lillimund, now.)
<@Random_Nerd> (More than half the rift is now closed.)
<@Random_Nerd> Ariadne takes the longer chain, fastens it to the deck, and swings out like a zero-G Tarzan.

  • @Lili will leap at the Riders nearby to take them out using her fabulous techniques!

<@Random_Nerd> One rotation takes her around the gas balloon, past the narwhal, and when she returns to sight on the other side, she's towing the blinded whal by the bridle.
<@Random_Nerd> Blinded Riders: 0. Fabulous Lillimund: 4.
<@Random_Nerd> The narwhal rider is dragged along by the staple, trying to regain his saddle.
<@deMontreal> (How are the damage control spiders doing?)
<@Random_Nerd> The staple-guns continue to close the rift. Two thirds closed, now.
<@Random_Nerd> (Already making some progress, which is why some of the staples are successfully hitting the rift now.)
<@Lili> (I imagine Ariadne has a little thought balloon of 'Yoink!' right now..)
<@Random_Nerd> (The leak is more than halfway sealed.)
<@Lili> *to the Rider's mounts* "If you wish to serve the Sun who is shining over you in magnificence, follow me! If you betray her, well..you have seeeeen what I can do!" Leaps back for the unicorn. "Forward!"
<@deMontreal> (Hm... that means I'm beating Lili in the rift-closing race, aren't I? :) )
<@Random_Nerd> At present, exactly one of the Riders seems to not be blind. It's the one who was hitting on Senko, and it's because when Jasper went nuclear, he was twitching wildly to escape his spider-rider, and had his head turned the other way.
<@Lili> (I think he means that both the staples and the Device have it more than halfway sealed.  :P )
<@Random_Nerd> He manages to throw the spider away, finally, and starts to drift toward the Deus Ex Machina.
<@Random_Nerd> You have a clean shot.
<@Random_Nerd> (Arguably, but on the other hand, this is partly because she distracted them and allowed you to get more shots off...)
<@deMontreal> OK... Shoot. :)
<@Random_Nerd> To disable, or to kill?
<@deMontreal> (Assuming disable is easier...)
<@Random_Nerd> (With the tools at hand, yes.)
<@deMontreal> (Disable, then. Plus, the spider should be chaining him up.)

  • @Lili calls out to the Device to work on marvelously! For by its efforts, Celestia will be saved!

<@Random_Nerd> (The spider is trying to catch back up.)
<@Lili> (Do you really want to keep one, deMontreal? You'll have to take it for walks...)
<@deMontreal> (I won't be keeping it for long. Plus, I've got the war-whal rider.)
<@Random_Nerd> A staple from the secondary staplegun flies through the air at the rider's face... and then wraps around his head like a steel blindfold. The two ends of the staple actually knot themselves together behind his head.
<@Random_Nerd> The War-Whal Rider is currently being dragged behind his whal, and can only kinda-sorta see things.
<@Random_Nerd> Also, Ariadne stole his lance.
<@deMontreal> (OK, head count. How many bad guys, where?)
<@Random_Nerd> The Device moves on to another unsealed portion of the rift, and begins to glow.
<@Random_Nerd> (Currently, about two dozen Riders remaining near you, another four dozen near the navy. They're getting their vision back, but it's still too fuzzy for accurate fire or a lance charge.)
<@Random_Nerd> War-Whal Rider looks at the rift, then at the Device and staple-guns continuing to seal it, and then at his troops.
<@deMontreal> "Keep up the fire with the fuel-air bombs on these guys next to us!"
<@Random_Nerd> WWR: "Parley."
<@deMontreal> to WWR: "What can you possibly offer us?"
<@Lili> (Do we not aquiest to his demands?)

  • @Mrs_Senko raises an eyebrow

<@Lili> (Uh, and shouldn't he parley with Jasper?)
<@deMontreal> (Let's hear them first.)
<@Random_Nerd> WWR: "Before you finish us off, I believe my remaining troops will be able to take down most of what remains of the Celestian Navy."
<@Random_Nerd> (You're here, you have the bigger guns.)
<@Lili> (Give Jasper a few years, she'll fill out.)
<@deMontreal> "They can rebuild the ships. Can they rebuild you?"
<@Random_Nerd> WWR: "It seems that you can successfully close this beachead, but not without suffering further casualties. I propose that I and my men withdraw."

  • @Mrs_Senko writes this down.

<@Random_Nerd> WWR: "There are at least three hundred like me. I am expendible, or I would not be here. Meanwhile, the Celestians need those ships to steer the clouds."
<@deMontreal> to a Bird: "Tell the others they're parlaying."
<@Random_Nerd> #4: "Okay!"
<@Random_Nerd> He flies off.
<@deMontreal> to WWR: "Tell your men to stop attacking now, then."
<@Random_Nerd> A minute later, he returns and whispers: "Boss, Big Boss says she'll take the deal."

  • @Lili will ride to try and stay between the rift and the other Riders.

<@deMontreal> "No sense doing further damage."
<@Random_Nerd> WWR pulls out his horn again, and blows a complicated horn call.
<@Random_Nerd> The Riders lower their weapons.
<@Random_Nerd> WWR: "Do we have a deal?"
<@deMontreal> "... Ariadne, get that staple out of his side."

  • @Lili sees the Riders lower the weapons. "Awww. Are they giving up? Or perhaps they have taken Senko hostage and wish us to give up Celestia for her!"

<@Random_Nerd> Ariadne scampers over and gives it a tug. When the staple recognizes her touch, it releases.
<@deMontreal> to WWR: "The rift is to be sealed once you leave, then?"
<@Random_Nerd> WWR: "I propose that we withdraw, through the rift, and after that you may close it without hindrance. This is not a peace treaty, merely an agreement to withdraw from this particular battlefield."
<@deMontreal> ".... fair enough."
<@deMontreal> "Oh, and tell the leaders of the Bleak Academy that Leonardo de Montreal has ... issues ... with their entrance criteria."
<@Random_Nerd> WWR: "And sister" (to Senko), "brother" (to Leonardo) "we will wait to see the other parts of your plan. It appears to be an interesting ine."
<@deMontreal> "... brother?"
<@Random_Nerd> He winks at Leonardo.
<@deMontreal> (IC I don't know I'm Rider, right?)
<@Lili> (Now, Leo, just because the Headmaster didn't like your 8x10 glossy...)

  • @Mrs_Senko Quit (Ping timeout)

<@Lili> (Correct!)
<@Random_Nerd> (Correct, just that you went to the Academy and some bad things happened.)
<@Random_Nerd> WWR: "Take that up with Senko, she handles admissions."
<@deMontreal> (who we just lost...)
<@Random_Nerd> A message-bird you don't recognize: "Big boss wants to know if we have a deal."

  • @deMontreal looks at Senko...
  • Mrs_Senko has joined #Nobilis

<@Random_Nerd> (Your Summon Senko worked!)
<Mrs_Senko> (Oops!)
<@deMontreal> to WWR: "We'll take your deal. Have your men leave, we will not fire upon them."
<@Lili> (Where did you break at?)
<@Random_Nerd> WWR: "Agreed. And we will not further engage with the Celestians."

  • @deMontreal sends the spiders up to help with repairs.

<Mrs_Senko> (I'm not sure....I rebooted. Let me check.)
<@Random_Nerd> He does an even more complicated horn call, and you're pretty sure that one was actually in some kind of cipher.
<@Random_Nerd> The leaking gas chamber is completely sealed. now.
<@deMontreal> "Careful, they may not be able to see very well."
<@Random_Nerd> When they hear the sound, the Riders begin to slowly withdraw, keeping bunched together as if expecting to be attacked.
<@deMontreal> to Bird: "Tell Jasper and the others the Riders are leaving, and do not impede them."
<@Random_Nerd> The War-Whal rider shakes his formerly-stapled leg, and climbs back into his saddle.
<@Random_Nerd> #5: "Okay!"

  • @Lili will lead her new mounts toward the Device, excited to see what it has been able to do on its own, sure that it has exceeded even her expectations!

<@Lili> (It might be a good idea to tell Lili about this parlay...)
<@Random_Nerd> WWR rides off into the direction almost exactly opposite the sunset, which is not nearly so dramatic.
<@deMontreal> (another Bird handy?)
<@Random_Nerd> #4 and #3 are on hand.
<@deMontreal> to #3: "Tell Lili there that the Riders are leaving, and to hold off on her device."
<@Random_Nerd> #3 flies off and does so.
<@Lili> (Not gonna turn it off. They can just ride faster.  :P )
<@Lili> (And I'm sorry, but I'm picturing each of these birds as a different bird from Angry Birds...)
<@deMontreal> to Senko: "So, do you want to go with them?"
<@deMontreal> (BTW, did you see: WWR: "Take that up with Senko, she handles admissions." )
<@Random_Nerd> The riders withdraw through the rift.
<@deMontreal> to Bird 4: "Check that there aren't any stragglers."
<@Random_Nerd> #4: "Okay!"
<@Random_Nerd> *flies off*

  • @deMontreal readies the staplers...

<Mrs_Senko> "No thank you."
<Mrs_Senko> (I did not.)
<@deMontreal> (Technically that means you made me. >:> )
<@Lili> (Mommy issues! ^^ )
<Mrs_Senko> (Last I saw was: [2012-08-24 12:38:10] <deMontreal> to Bird 4: "Check that there aren't any stragglers." )

  • @Lili waves at Bird #3 who is heading her way.

<@Lili> (Before that.)
<@Random_Nerd> Bird #5: "The level of losses here are... acceptable. Good work, de Montreal." The bird actually puts a weird emphasis on the last words.
<@Lili> 10deMontreal: 01to WWR: "The rift is to be sealed once you leave, then?"

<@Lili> 04*** Mrs_Senko has signed off IRC (Ping timeout).01
<@deMontreal> (Any stragglers?)
<@Random_Nerd> (No visible ones.)
<Mrs_Senko> (Derp...misread my log: last I saw was: [2012-08-24 12:27:02] <deMontreal> "... Ariadne, get that staple out of his side.")
<@deMontreal> "Anyway. Now it's a race.

  • @deMontreal sets to closing that rift and racing to the center.
  • @Lili listens to Bird #3. "Ah, that's good. Not really sure that I should stop the Device, though..it might not start again." *whispers conspiratorically to Bird #3* "And I don't want to lose to deMontreal." *brightens* "Oh, have you won your bet yet?"

<@deMontreal> (And remember, my Map has "Must prove your machine is better than his". :) )
<@Random_Nerd> (And her miracle intent was... let's see, Seal The Rift.)
<@Random_Nerd> (Hmm.)
<@deMontreal> (Well, I fought off Riders...
<@Random_Nerd> (And level 6 miracle versus imperial miracle...)
<@Lili> (So did I...)
<@Random_Nerd> (I think that hers did more, overall, to seal the Rift. But yours did other things, including disabling a number of Riders.)
<@Random_Nerd> (That way, the objectives of both have been accomplished.)
<@deMontreal> (Meet right in the middle?)
<@Random_Nerd> (That works.)

  • @deMontreal does a head count...

<@Lili> (Bah. My kung fu is still superior. *sniff*)
<@Random_Nerd> Lillimund is the only one of you who's injured, but more than half of the Celestian Navy's ships are severely damaged.
<@Random_Nerd> The rift is sealed.

  • @Lili will watch impassively as the Riders go back into the rift.

<@Random_Nerd> Very few Warmains were actually killed, but many were injured or stapled.
<@Random_Nerd> The ones that were killed have been pulled away by their comrades.
<@deMontreal> to a Bird: "Ask Jasper if we need to tow anybody in."
<@Random_Nerd> All the mounts have been recovered, except the unicorn Lillimund stole.
<@Random_Nerd> #5 flies back off to her, and returns clutching a hastily drawn diagram.
<@Random_Nerd> (Oh, and the note pinned to the lance pinned to the non-speaking-role spider says "I don't actually have a phone, that was more of a metaphor.")
<@Lili> (Aww, they took the other mounts? And I didn't steal it, I won it through rightful battle!)

  • Mrs_Senko keeps the note

<@Random_Nerd> (Stole it through rightful battle. Unicorn-stealer.)
<@Lili> (He's welcome to come and ask for it back.)
<@deMontreal> "All right, let's get these ships to drydock."
<@Lili> (Huh. Lance-boy is Senko's type.)
<@Random_Nerd> (Mind if we stop here?)
<@deMontreal> (OK.)
<@Lili> (Nah, don't mind. Next time will be the end of the story?)

STOP[edit]

<@Random_Nerd> (Yes.)
<@Random_Nerd> Everyone gets 2 XP.

  • Lili is now known as BethE

<@BethE> Whee!
<@deMontreal> Whoo!
<@BethE> Was I too over the top or not enough?
<@deMontreal> Yeah, that's my job!
<@Random_Nerd> So, let's see. Leonardo stapled some Warmains. Lillimund stole a unicorn. Senko has a not-so-secret admirer.

  • deMontreal is now known as Knockwood

<@Random_Nerd> About right.
<@Knockwood> and now LdM heard he's a rider and that Senko waws in charge of admissions.

  • Mrs_Senko is now known as Verithe

<@Random_Nerd> Which Senko may or may not agree with.
<@Random_Nerd> Oh, and the War-Whal Rider... part of his reason for agreeing to parley was that he's assumed that this is some trick of yours and Senko's to infiltrate the Celestian command structure.
<@Knockwood> actually it might be good to check which rules we're using...
<@Random_Nerd> Hmm?
<Verithe> Mrs. Senko is of the opinion that Lili is a good candidate for admission.
<@BethE> Waaah? Why?
<@Knockwood> I've got 13 Chuubo docs on my iPad
<@Random_Nerd> Heh.
<@BethE> The Bleak Acad is so anti-wishing!
<@Random_Nerd> We'll be using the newer ones for when we test the campaign.
<Verithe> Because Lili was pretty awesome in that battle.
<@Random_Nerd> Hmm. Did Senko deliberately remain neutral?
<Verithe> Probably Leonardo too, but recent revelations have brought doubts on that.
<@Knockwood> let's see... "Wishing Boy Quests: Revised" is the latest one
<@Random_Nerd> I think there's a newer one I need to forward to you guys, too.
<@Random_Nerd> Let me check.
<@Knockwood> also "Seizhi Powers", "The Altered World"...
<@Random_Nerd> Ah, yes, a charcter upgrade.
<@Random_Nerd> Err, update.
<Verithe> Yes. To observe, though she wanted to test Lili a little more than it was initially looking like was going to happen.
<@Knockwood> "Campaign Arcs" and 2 "Glass" docs
<@BethE> *shakes fist at Senko*
<@Random_Nerd> And I've sent you the character update one.
<@BethE> I am a little disappointed that there is no Lili in the new stuff.
<@Knockwood> Then again, what in particular should we be testing?
<@Random_Nerd> Let me get back to you about that after I've read all of these.
<@Random_Nerd> I figure, next week Amyra, week after that is a character-selection-etc session for the Glass campaign playtest?
<@Random_Nerd> That sound good?
<@Knockwood> it might actually be a good idea to put all the current playtest docs in an archive
<Verithe> Sounds good.
<@Knockwood> Ooh, OK
<@BethE> (http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/3411_344043402350036_51081073_n.jpg is apparently Lili this session.)
<@Random_Nerd> Oh, and did everyone have fun? I felt like this session was a bit more chaotic than I aim for.
<Verithe> I enjoyed it.
<@Knockwood> It's a battle, that happens
<@Knockwood> Actually I should ask if I went overboard.
<@Random_Nerd> No, it worked.
<@Knockwood> The burden of command.
<@Random_Nerd> This was a good Leo. Mad-science, but not murdery, just stop all the people from stopping you from doing what you want to do.
<@Knockwood> Hm... maybe I should put together a file on 'Playing Leonardo'
<@Random_Nerd> Oh, and was the thing with Ariadne and the war-whal acceptable? I figured, you didn't have the right angle to get off a shot because the guns were mounted below, but it was reasonable for you to get something done.
<@Knockwood> and post it
<@Random_Nerd> Not a bad idea.
<@Knockwood> Riding a war-whal and its stapled rider like a bat outta hell is always acceptable. :D
<@BethE> How was the Lili stuff for you guys? Hopefully not too boring?
<@Knockwood> I almost didn't help Lili...
<@Random_Nerd> Oh... and the war-whal... too silly?
<@Knockwood> then I remembered, Leo wats to Show Them, not win by default.
<@Random_Nerd> ...or not silly enough.
<@BethE> Just enough.
<Verithe> I enjoyed the Lili stuff and the Leo stuff.
<@Knockwood> Yes, enough.
<Verithe> Just enough.
<@Knockwood> (Though, technically, I wonder how everyone flies... and hears each other...)
<@Random_Nerd> It's Celestia. Stuff like that just works.
<@BethE> Lili is heard through the power of heart.
<@Knockwood> (BTW, I can Recover and get that health level back, right?)
<@Random_Nerd> For the Invocation? Let me see.
<@Random_Nerd> I don't think it actually wounds you.
<@Random_Nerd> It just uses one of your "wounds," i.e., power sets.
<@Random_Nerd> Like how Jasper has "limbs."
<@Knockwood> (Ah.)
<@Random_Nerd> Or Chuubo has some thing that I forget.
<Verithe> Mrs. Senko uses the Bleak Method of hearing. Also, she's a teacher.
<@Knockwood> Oh, so the same thing that lets her spot note-passing?
<@Random_Nerd> Heh.
<Verithe> Yeah
<@BethE> I forget. How do I get Miracle points back?
<@Random_Nerd> I... forget how Chuubo does that.
<@Random_Nerd> But this is the end of a storyline.
<@Random_Nerd> I think you get them back now, at any rate.
<@Knockwood> ah, like Nobilis
<@BethE> I'm glad that people liked Lili's stuff. ^^ Any requests for the reappearance later of the Crimson Wrench? Oh and Lili would have taken off her mask and put it back in her pocket before the others come up to her.
<@Random_Nerd> ...appearing in public without her mask? SCANDAL!
<@Knockwood> come to think of it, where's Chuubo?
<Verithe> At a party with Soun
<@Knockwood> of course.
<@Random_Nerd> Probably off making an ill-conceived wish that will lead us to Glass!
<@Knockwood> Angelo is back next week, right?
<@BethE> He was supposed to come tonight.  :(
<@Random_Nerd> As far as I know.
<@BethE> I emailed him earlier this week and reminded him.
<@Knockwood> well, it's been a month.
<@Knockwood> Not that I blame you.
<Verithe> He may have been busy also.
<@BethE> And Lili just walking around is a secret identity.
<@BethE> Well, time to log out! Great session, guys! *HUGS*
<@Knockwood> 'night Beth
<Verithe> G'night!
<@Knockwood> Think I'll head out too.
<@Random_Nerd> G'night, guys.
<@Random_Nerd> Good session.
