I have spoken to Brand about what details he remembers of that path downward and he is better able to address where they went after that. The fact is I have only ventured a few dozen levels down into the Abyss myself, as have most Chaosians. Entering the abyss is never done causally even for those who do so frequently. The upper levels are all fairly organized realms that have a lot of interaction with the Ways, the Church, and people of chaos. Hell worlds for sure, but...civilized to some degrees. I can seek out the [[Witnesses of the Abyss]] for more information but that's likely to get sticky politically.
