Expectations

Post Frequency

I prefer players post IC within a 24-48 hr window of the latest GM update. Expect roughly 3 such updates from me a week. I try to limit updates til after all players have posted IC but reserve the right to move the game forward as needed. You can post more frequently, particularly between one another, but I typically won't accelerate my own posting schedule in an effort not to overwhelm individual players with an over fast or rushed pace.
That said, I am online quite a bit so if you have small actions or dialogue questions to keep things from bogging down, ask me OOC. I may choose not to give the requested info, but I will say that if it is ever the case.

Post Absences

If you will not be able to post, for whatever reason, please ping us in OOC so we know what is going on or post to the Absences Thread (I pretty much check that thing every time it lights up).

Post Formatting

Please include the following header at the top of each IC Post:
Character Name [Initiative + | AC | HP Current/Max | Spell DC (if applicable) | Inspiration Y/N | Passive Investigation/Perception]
OOC blocks are fine for showing dice rolls and brief OOC comments directly related to a particular post. Please sblock if you need to include large blocks of text related to your IC post. All other OOC content should go in the OOC thread itself.
Please do not link Dice Rolls or make Action Statements in the OOC thread.
Please link your results back to your dice roller.

PVP

I prefer not to run games that lean heavily to PVP. Games like that simply do not need a GM, and I would much rather spend my time running games that do need a GM.

For reference, what I consider PVP basically amounts to this: If an action would require dice to affect an NPC, then it counts as PVP if used against a PC

So disagreements, trash talking, indirect actions that might affect another character but aren't made directly against that character are all potentially on the table with the caveat that if something just makes the game not fun for someone that we respect that and steer clear.

If you want to do something that directly acts against another player's character, proceed based on the following criteria:

Unilateral Permission: The other player agrees to your action. No rolls are needed. Just RP it out.
Limited Permission: The other player doesn't agree that it is an automatic thing, but does agree to let the math rocks decide. Roll it out. If initiative is a concern, I will handle that case by case.
Declined Permission: The other player does not agree to PVP. Move on with something else.

Initiative

PCs act as a group, then NPCs act or vice versa. Everyone posts when they can and I order events in the update. There is no roll, I just look at your passive initiative (10 + applicable mods), but if yours is higher than the other players and you want your action to take precedence, put that in your action statement with your dice roll so I know it is important to you.

Otherwise, whichever 'side' (NPC/PC) has the highest passive initiative goes first unless one group successfully surprises the other.

I am ok with you guys discussing tactics in the OOC thread. If you find yourself waiting to see what another PC is going to do before you post your own action, there is a fair chance other PCs might be waiting for the same thing. A quick OOC exchange is invariably faster than waiting quietly on each other.

Inspiration - PBP House Rule

Refreshes every short and long rest. You can only ever have one at a time. Players may donate their inspiration to another player who has none if they wish.
