He had just rode the train into town and now he was walking from the tracks, well running from the tracks and rail security. He was a bum, he never bought a ticket and most of the time he rode in freight anyway. He had planned to stay on for the rest of the trip, but these things happen and now he was on the run.

The security would not chase him far, they had other things to do, so he just ran about a half mile into a field. He slowed to walk and saw a strange light in middle of the field. He got closer and found that it was a doorway into the ground. Feeling adventurous, he went down the ladder and into the ?ship? This must be a UFO type of thing.

Not being very smart he started to look around and push buttons here and there. He did not notice that he was bathed in various light beams. When he was done playing he climbed out and started toward the police station, they should know about this. On the way to the station he was almost mugged, to bad for the would be mugger. He had gained powers from the space ship, that changed everything, the police would not be finding out about this after all. He took the name Diamond because of the sparkly effect his new powers had. He would not settle for freight anymore, he would be first class all the way.
