Name: Yuleina Soh

Appearance and Demeanor: Yuleina is an attractive woman with a strong, lithe physical build—she is quick on her feet and with a sword. Despite being a wanderer on the roads of the Land, Yuleina dresses in the old ways of members of the College, in fine robes and an elaborate, jeweled headdress. While when she is relaxed, she can show great joi de vivre, when is on duty, her attitude is one of righteous determination. She is determined to always do the right thing, but she sometimes has an inflexible attitude of what that is, especially when it comes to honoring tradition.

Playbook Specific Moves

  • Against Countless Enemies: Your melee weapons always have the Cleave tag and you never suffer disadvantage from being outnumbered.
  • Champion: You have sworn an oath to confront the Antiquities Dealers Guild. Like the Invisible College, they explore ruins to salvage ancient lore and relics. Unlike the College, they do not value them, but sell them to the highest bidder, whether people of the Land, foreigners, or members of the Empire. Their work is completely legal and aboveboard, but the College sees is as sacrilegious. Yuleina has sworn not to accept patronage from the wealthy until the Antiquities Dealers Guild is defeated. Ghosts won’t harm Yuleina as long as she keeps to her oath.
  • Doctrine: Know Yourself to Unleash True Potential: You always benefit from the Meditative tag
  • Death Move: When you mark off your Dead box, make a last stand. You will not die but remain fighting until your allies are safe.
  • Gear: Add a tag to your Armory or Outfit when you Prepare and Provision.
  • Sworn Sword: When you begin a Duel with someone, use the listed statements instead of the standard ones. During the Duel, you can spend 1 Hold to instantly turn an incoming Heavy Would into a Flesh Wound or draw a new weapon.


Traditions[edit]

  • Inheritance: You can sense when spirits are nearby and may take a Flesh Wound to communicate with them.
  • Lifestyle: The Furthest Reaches: Iron Wolf Battle Trance: Before you Fiercely Assault your enemies or engage in a Duel, you may Enact a Ritual by drinking the Iron Wolves’ battle brew, a mixture of horse milk alcohol and potent herbs. On a successful Enact a Ritual roll, on a 7-9, you gain one Outfit or Amory related tag, and on a 10+, you gain two.
