Helmgar Tan Background: Helmgear was born and raise in the Border Kingdom, his father an exile from the Bossonian Marches of Aquyilonia. He learned basic crafting from his father but also how to live off the land and shot a bow. He was a natural with these gifts and supported his family as a hunter and scout.

His father wanted him to make a good impression on the local petty king whose lands they would settle and had sent Helmgar to serve him for a time (working in the stables). Helmgar hated it (well it liked the horses, hated the nobles) and left as soon as possible.

Helmgar has recently struck out on his own as a mercenary. His first big battle did not go so well it would seem.
