Appearance: Ilknur is comely, with honey-gold eyes and sun-kissed skin. Her body is lithe and her form nearly androgynous. She prefers to dress to blend in, and eschews bright colors and excessive adornment.
Motivation: Clear the name of her master, Nikephorous Cydones, by finding both him and the priceless tomes that have gone missing from the court of Ianuaria Melachrinos (called Hesychia). Without the protection of her master, the court contains too many enemies eager to tar her with the same brush, leaving her no choice but to follow vague rumors that Cydones was last seen at the site of a Nightmare Incursion.

The Court is my Family, These Halls, my Home[edit]
As Ilknur was the youngest of four daughters in a family of craftsmen, there was little chance her family could provide a suitable dowry for her. She was thus given in service to Melachrinos at the age of seven. Raised and educated in the court, she considers the various servants and functionaries to be more family than the one she was born to.

Ilknur has a natural talent for languages, and has a working fluency with most of the languages commonly used in the city, and a few more exotic ones besides.
Name of Secret Aspect[edit]
A scribe and translator encounters many secrets. Unfortunately, Ilknur is not always skilled at keeping this knowledge close. A few tidbits of information shared during pillow talk led to the downfall of two of her closest friends at court, and the ascension of her lover's patron - who expects that Ilknur will continue to provide such information, or suffer the consequences for defying her.
