Background

Lt. tak Kheblos is from a dedicated Starfleet family, and can trace his family's service to its earliest days. As such he has a lot to live up to and has high standards for both himself and his staff.

He distinguished himself during the Dominion War, earning commendations and a battlefield promotion when his Chief was killed in action. He served out the rest of the war in that role. Later his promotion was made permanent, and he was posted to the Eclipse to serve as Security Chief.

As a Tellarite he is argumentative by nature, although not malicious or belligerent with it. He expects a certain amount of rigour in the evidence presented by his subordinates - while he might let a hunch fly from someone with a proven track record, he expects it to lead to results. His healthy scepticism to things that can't be proven means he really doesn't understand Anaphis' faith in the Prophets - after all, aren't they just aliens? He has more than once tried to draw the Bajoran into a debate on this fact, only to be met with a smile and "Why can't they be both?"
