Background[edit]
Kaapo Vaara grew up wealthy, the only child of corporate managers and afforded every opportunity in life. His father was a drunk, and, by the time Kaapo had turned 14 the family had squandered their wealth through a series of escalating bad decisions. Within the span of three weeks his mother had left, hired away by a rival Corp, and his father had blown out his brains with his Sternmeyer P-35. Left with nothing but the clothes on his back and his father's blood-splattered pistol Kaapo took to the streets, finding sanctuary with a Nomad pack that kept moving to evade the Law.
Since then he has hired himself as an enforcer and gun for hire. Kaapo is convinced he is cursed, and blames the world in general for his inevitable bad luck, especially when it comes to affairs of the heart. The three times he has fallen in love have been with people already involved in relationships, and all three times that has failed to stop the romance, leading to three rivals who call him the blackest of names:
