Background:

Castor was a mighty warrior in his younger days. He is old now, working as a stable hand, a job he feels is demeaning. He has contracted a wasting disease that robs him of a little of his strength every day, and he has decided that he will put on his armor and take up his axe one last time, and hopefully end his life with the honor and glory of a soldier rather than in humiliation as a sick, feeble old man. He is going out to die.

(He hasn't fought in over a decade, which is why he has the abilities of a Level 1 Fighter-he's more than a bit rusty)

  • Xia has insulted my deity. I do not trust them.
  • Castor is a good and faithful person; I trust them implicitly.
  • I am working on converting Pox to my faith.

Background:

Jon and Aleena were very different clerics of Sil: she was brave and vibrant where he was shy and reserved. She was a common sight in the Temple of Healing where Jon ministers to the sick, and he grew to love her deeply, though he was too shy to tell her. Finally he worked up his courage, and swore he'd tell her his feelings when she returned from her latest mission - but she never did. Bargle saw to that. His kind heart filled with bitter hate, Jon demanded that he be sent to strike down the villain that stole his love and, surprisingly, he was granted permission. Now the gentle cleric must join a motley band of adventurers if he's going to exact his revenge and KILL BARGLE!

Notes:

Pox stole some fragrant oil from Jon. The oil was to be sacrificed to Sil if Jon needed to petition her aid.

Background:

Threshhold's a big town and there's room for more than one kind of thief, but there's no room for a man who won't follow the Brotherhood's rules, and one of the most important rules is "Don't bother the Gods". When Bargle killed Aleena, it brought down the Watch on every thief in Threshhold, and Pox's own brother got clapped in irons. Moreover, Shifter, the secret god of thieves, made it known that this deed displeased Him, and that he would withhold his blessing from every heist and burglary in the city until this crime was avenged. Hence, Pox was deputized to help take Bargle down. If he succeeds, he gets his brother back and the Shifty Brotherhood will accept him as a full initiate. If he doesn't, best stay in the dungeon. Additional backstory from Bonds: Pox stole a small black book -- the "Necro-something" -- from one of Bargle's toughs and he's been having nightmares ever since. Good thing nobody knows he hid it in a hollow tree outside of town....
