Kotoan

The Kotoan are an aquatic species the inhabit the ocean world of Kantor IV. They can breath air as other beings but their skin moisture can dry out fairly quickly which is why they wear full body 'wet suits' when expected to spend extensive time out of water.

The Kotoan are extensive traders and merchants and their world is fairly rich with off-world trade flowing to and from the world. The main export is fish, medicines and processed chemicals. While not pacifist they tend to avoid wars and attempt to remain neutral in all non-Kotoan business. They do have a fairly strong and advanced drone/A.I. based orbital defense system when faced with hostile invaders into their system.
