Lizete Boden, aka Chains, the Cutter

Lizete was born on the wide plains of Severos and lived as a nomadic horsewoman, hunting and camping on the open plains. She was never one to turn down a challenge, which unfortunately was capitalized on to put her in deep debt. Lizete ended up working on a leviathan-hunting ship where she broke up long weeks and months at sea by getting involved in bare-knuckle brawling fights, which evolved into no-holds-barred fighting tournaments. The senior fighter Marlane became a mentor and a teacher to her and taught the young tough the ropes. Meanwhile Lizete built a rivalry with the fighter who only went by Mercy. Mercy was widely known to be an assassin who simply used the fights to boost his own reputation, and his style of cruel and incapacitating strikes tended to end a fight before it had really began. As Lizete's fame in the fighting pits grew she found herself needing a gimmick to stand out from the crowd and Marlane put her in touch with the cult of the Transcendence Record. The cult taught Lizete how to channel her internal energy to hurt or restrain spirits and the unquiet dead. Lizete wasn't able to answer the cry for help when the cult was under attack and is now looking to pay back her debts.
