A game of teenage superheroes using Magpie Games' Masks: a New Generation, MC is DannyK

"Laws: We know what they are, and what they are worth! They are spider webs for the rich and mighty, steel chains for the poor and weak, fishing nets in the hands of government.”

—French social theorist Pierre-Joseph Proudhon (1809-1865), voicing his “Authority Principle,” in No Gods, No Masters: An Anthology of Anarchism (1980)

The Eisner Renaissance Committee Small time rabble rousers and thugs who want to take the UEB back to a 1950's that never existed. These guys suck.

Carter's Sandwich Shop Hero sandwiches a specialty! Rook's aunt still runs the place after her husband got shot and Rook helps out after school.

Happy Tiger Korean Takeout, a good place to study or have clandestine meetings because nobody ever eats there. Also they have satellite cable playing K-pop 24/7.

The Jungle A homeless encampment under the bridge and near the Kirby river

Frank Miller Memorial Park There are basketball courts and a rundown bandstand, a jogging path and some communal vegetable gardens. Don't go in there at night unless you're a serious person.

Redbrick High Just over the line in Redbrick, it's got a cool old building with an annex where they have drama classes, woodworking shop in the basement, the local library and the municipal swimming pool nearby. Eh, it's school.

Under Eisner Bridge (UEB)

The neighborhood is Under Eisner Bridge (UEB), a neighborhood which slopes down to the bank of the Kirby river, where there used to be docks and a river ferry terminal, back in the old days. Now the warehouses and industrial buildings are decaying or turned into cheap office spaces or lofts. As you climb up from the river, the smell is better and there are row houses, apartment buildings, and a public housing project whose better days are long gone. The neighborhood is shadowed by the hulking Eisner Bridge which routes commuters over the Kirby and into downtown; when you live there, the ceaseless thunder of traffic is a constant and the pillars are landmarks and canvas for the local graffiti artists. The braver and more foolish kids climb up those pillars into the understory of the bridge to look down on the little world they live in, and to smoke and drink stolen beers. Once in a while somebody comes flying off that bridge and lands in the neighborhood, accidentally or on purpose, everybody's seen it. Some people even survive the experience.

Near the waterfront, under the bridge, there's the Jungle, a homeless encampment run by the homeless themselves and ignored by all except a few do-gooders and church folks. If you paddled through the dirty waters of the Kirby, you'd be in the Warehouse District, a popular clubbing destination downtown. Going away from the river, past Frank Miller Memorial Park and the old bandstand, the houses start to get nicer and the streets cleaner, and at some point you're in Redbrick and there are amenities like bookstores, funky cafes, restaurants with outdoor seating and cocktails. Redbrick High, the local library, and the swimming pool are all on the same block. Most UEB kids go to school in Redbrick and it's understood that UEB kids come to Redbrick for the amenities... but they might not be welcome at the parties unless they're jocks or easy on the eye.

Virtue: Charity The community cares for those who don’t have enough.

Vice: Jealousy The community fixates on who might be getting more than their fair share.
