Geth

Geth are a synthetic species who comprise two parts: runtimes and platforms. Runtimes are the actual intelligence or "software", hundreds of programs operating in parallel. Mobile platforms are the temporary, transferable bodies used by the runtimes, or "hardware". Runtimes can transfer to and from platforms at will, assuming they can get a network connection. Most of the time geth runtimes reside in their server hubs, where millions of programs run in communion, not unlike an organic city.


Networking Improvements

Geth share a collective neural network; the more runtimes that are networked together, whether in separate platforms or in one, the more efficient and effective their processing power become. When there are 3 or more platforms in close proximity, they all gain the following benefits:

  • +1 Initiative and Perception
  • +1 Wits
  • Merit: Atavism (Use the higher of Dex or Wits to determine defense), Using their neural networks Geth can see incoming attacks made against them from other Geth platforms in close proximity. This helps the target of the attack and only applies to close quarters combat.

When there are more than five platforms in close proximity, they all gain the following additional benefits:

  • +1 Intelligence and Resolve
  • +1 Firearms and Interfacing
  • 2 Command points

When there are more than ten platforms in close proximity, they all gain the following additional benefits:

  • +1 Dexterity
  • +1 Shield level
  • 3 additional Command points
  • The Secure Routines Interfacing program runs across the geth network (using the highest Interfacing of the collective as the penalty to hack their network).

When there are more than twenty platforms in close proximity, they all gain the following additional benefits:

  • 5 additional Command points
