The Principals
Penumbra Securities is managed by five principals, whose profiles are detailed below. The principals are the primary groundside operatives; if additional groundsite support is required, it is subcontracted through other security organisations.

Profile: A technical specialist and infiltrator from the Quarian Flotilla, Kane completed his Pilgrimage only to head back out into the unfriendly world outside of the fleet to continue his mercenary lifestyle. Kane isn't his actual name, but the full thing is a mouthful for non-Quarians and he prefers Kane to the other nicknames he's gained in the past.

Kirroe Tuditan

Profile: A former Cabal biotic in the Turian Hierarchy, Kirroe served as an operative under Nihlus, the Spectre who was murdered by Saren. She came to Penumbra shortly after its formation, bringing the ferocious combination of martial and biotic skills that she honed in the Hierarchy along with a sharp business mind and, apparently, startlingly attractive looks by Turian standards.

Russell Ortiz
Profile: A former Systems Alliance officer, Russell hails from the Attican Traverse. A colony kid from a military family, he enlisted in 2176, serving in the 4th Frontier Division. He led a Marine Reconnaisance team during the operation on Torfan, coming out of that brutal conflict with a medal for valour and an officer's commission. After completing Officer Cadet School, he was invited to the N7 school passing the N1 course and was transferred to the 103rd Division. He received an honourable discharge in 2181 and has been working to build up Penumbra Securities since that time.

- Drill instructor with a special focus on recruiting, training and leading paramilitary forces

- On Kane: "Kane's a magician; no really he is. Put some raw materials, an omni-tool and an objective in front of him, give him an hour and he conjures tech out of the ether. Could have had his pick of roles back with the Flotilla, but chose us."
- On Kirroe: "Kirroe is an enigmatic collection of contradictions all bundled up together. In business she's this cool, savvy, sharp-minded executive. But in a fight she can be this hot-tempered, impulsive beserker who you wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of."
- On Sam: "I've known Sam a number of years now, she saved my life on Omega back where it all began. I like to think we have an understanding; she sets them up, I knock them down. Worked then and still does now. Though I now know better than to play poker with her..."
- On Yghorl: "Yghorl's a big guy, even for a krogan, but seeing how he tends to his patients there's a real gentleness to him too. Stitched me up more than a few times. Just don't tell him I said that, I've seen him knock an elcor out cold with a head-butt."

Raik Yghorl
Profile: A krogan biotic and medical specialist from Clan Raik, Yghorl (pronounced 'Yorl') has served in several mercenary companies over the decades including a stint as a hostage situation specialist. Despite his intimidating appearance, Yghorl is a skilled doctor and a fearless fighter who once helped foil a plot to kill the Asari Councillor, winning him a medal and contacts with an asari financial company from the grateful Councillor that have been key to getting Penumbra up and running.
