Melinda is one of Harrison Schandalere's byblows, and the only one to publicly declare herself a Schandalere. She has been supported in this by Elise, and - some would say oddly - resisted by her father. He has apparently claimed her privately, but wasn't pleased that she took it public.

She's taken the codename ShockJock, after her electrical powers and athleticism. Okay, maybe also because she seems to delight in shocking people: From the time she wore a French Maid outfit to a formal ball, or when she pulled down Anette Carson's top at the SAG awards and fondled her in public, to publicly avowing support for the most out there candidates in a given race, but then publicly donating money to their opponents, there seems little she won't do to get attention.
