Mentalax

Project Sunburst had not a string of good luck in a long time, most of their luck was of the bad variety. With the shutting down of the lab by the Ripper, the company had to find other means of making "super beings" for the government. They decided to try to isolate the "X-gene" and see if they could harness its power without making a mutant.

As a scientist, he was very interested in the "X-gene" and the power that it held. He had learned that the "X-gene" tapped into a dimensional power source that would be altered by the human when the gene was activated. He wanted to try out his theory, but the leaders of Sunburst were very reluctant, gun shy I guess you would say. He did his test anyway.

BOOM

He was fired before they called they ambulance, at least they did not release another mutant into the world. What his bosses did not know was that his test was a success. He was able to tap into the power source. He took the knowledge with him. What was a discredited scientist to do but build a suit and use his invention for personal gain. The world would come to fear the power of MENTALAX.

Well, the world was not afraid of the power of Mentalax, and so he spent most of time being beat-up by whatever hero wandered by. He now teams up with villains that hunt any superhero that has showed him up in the hopes of beating them in a two-on-one or three-on-one type of situation.
