== Setting ==

In the Crystal Keep, in the quiet hours of the night, just after Eranon sleepily asked about his dream from the Whisper. This inner room's walls are sturdy and thick, allowing no light at all to penetrate, but for Kaiel and Kyuad all is visible. In the pitch blackness Kyuad sits, pointing his finger around the room as spider webbing and dust seem to be collecting from the corners into a small, floating bundle.

Only a few minutes before, Kyuad had spoken to the spirit of his friend Zal'Kazzir. Not knowing what will come of the day or what mysteries may be laid bare by their efforts, he becomes curious about his newest ally.

Kyuad and Kaiel talk of his life and history.

Kyuad's voice is calm and quiet, a barely audible whisper in a low register.  Looking as he always has to Kaiel, who cannot see the points of red that the living see in his eyes, Kyuad rhuminates. As Kaiel whispers to Kyuad, telling him of battlefields and the strangeness of elves, Kyuad looks at the ceiling, where his left hand points, and occasionally glances down at his Lorebook as he takes notes with his other hand.
