Midnight RPG - Chapter 44.745
Setting
In the Crystal Keep, in the quiet hours of the night, just after Eranon sleepily asked about his dream from the Whisper. This inner room's walls are sturdy and thick, allowing no light at all to penetrate, but for Kaiel and Kyuad all is visible. In the pitch blackness Kyuad sits, pointing his finger around the room as spider webbing and dust seem to be collecting from the corners into a small, floating bundle.
Only a few minutes before, Kyuad had spoken to the spirit of his friend Zal'Kazzir. Not knowing what will come of the day or what mysteries may be laid bare by their efforts, he becomes curious about his newest ally.
Conversation
Kyuad and Kaiel talk of his life and history.
Kyuad
Kyuad's voice is calm and quiet, a barely audible whisper in a low register. Looking as he always has to Kaiel, who cannot see the points of red that the living see in his eyes, Kyuad rhuminates. "KAIEL, I ASSUME THAT YOU WOULD PREFER TO HAVE SOMETHING TO DO TO KEEP YOU BUSY THESE LONG, SLEEPLESS NIGHTS. PERHAPS WE SHOULD START INVOLVING YOU MORE ON OUR PREPARATIONS AND MAINTENANCE SO YOUR IDLE TIME IS MADE USEFUL. I FIND THAT PRACTICE TO BE OF SOME COMFORT TO ME NOW THAT MY REST SERVES NO OTHER PURPOSE THAN ATTUNING MYSELF WITH ARYTH. SPEAKING OF WHICH, HOW DID YOU FILL THE IDLE HOURS WHILE IN YOUR MILITARY SERVICE? I HAVE NOT HEARD MUCH ABOUT YOUR TIME SPENT WITH LORD EOATIN AND THE ELVISH PEOPLE. I ASSUME YOU HAVE SOME INTERESTING STORIES TO TELL OF THAT TIME."
