Experience can be spent to advance characters as follows:

• Certain lateral swaps, like one distinction for another or one SFX for another, are free. Ask your GM.

Note: Hearth distinction cannot be swapped without extreme justification in the fiction.

• Turn an Asset from a scene into a Signature Asset: 1 Experience
• Add a Signature Asset SFX (No more than 2 SFX per asset): 1 Experience
