As Vek and Alvah seperate to differant endevours. Alvah dancing with her elementals and Vek going to deal with Margot, Realmer approaches the pattern and contemplates it

Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.

Standing at the starting point, he pauses and introduces himself to the Pattern, a simple mental hello, if you will. ~Greetings. I am Relmopator. I am a new friend of Alvah and also a friend of Vek. Thank you for letting me observe you.~ He continues to stand and look deeply into the blazing Pattern but out of the corner of his eye notes that Alvah is no longer occupied with Vek. He is torn between talking with her or talking with the Pattern... if it will eve communicate with him.

Amber Bronkhorst

Alvah is sitting at the side of the pattern near the start she is playing with four elementals who dance around her. Even if she is playing with the elementals she keeps a close eye on Realmer what he is doing. Somehow she does feel a bit protective over the pattern. When she sees Realmer stand there for a bit she smiles and speaks soft. "Good evening Realmer. Good to see you in the same shadow instead of via trump"

Michael James Watson

There is a nervousness to the pattern when he attempts to commune. Not hostile just wary. and somehow more communicative then any pattern he has seen

Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.

Realmer turns at her soft voice and smiles broadly then bows deeply. "Lady Alvah, the Pattern Bringer of Veksdale." He chuckles. "And is it good to see you in person as well... especially considering where you were and what you did... though I know none of it was by much of your own conscious choice. You know... you're lucky to be alive." Realmer moves a bit closer to Alvah, but does not break the 'circle' of dancing Elementals around her. Since she is sitting on the ground, he will join her, sitting in Lotus position.

Amber Bronkhorst

"Hah Pattern bringer, i like that. " She then looks at Realmer as he sits down. Alvah gestures to the elementals to make some space in their dance for Realmer to sit. Then a slight smile with a bit of a pained look in it. "Well yes, i was knowingly in Zunala, i went there by conscious choice. I just did not expect to be lured in a trap by Xolotl to walk his pattern sigil creation. " Taking a slow sip of her coffee and then a sip of her tequila she shrugs while looking at the pattern. "i had expected him to kill me. But i like this outcome better. The pattern is truly happy. But it is weary to who it allows to walk on as you saw with Fiona. We might have to take it slow with the walking of it by others." Looking up at Realmer "Have you heard any news on how Fiona is?"

Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.

"No, I have not heard word yet. I know she is in good care at Vulsar Base." As the Elementals move back to allow him space, he moves in a bit closer to Alvah, using the Flight power of his Robe to 'float' him over to her. "And 'this outcome' was a pure stroke of luck that doesn't happen often; count yourself doubly lucky." He smiles and looks over her Elementals then comments. "I saw your Avasa of Guard outside of your snake; impressive. It was watching the Pattern upon my arrival and re-entered your snake and slithered off into the forest. And your Elementals, still young but a full compliment; again, impressive. I must ask, if you are willing to answer; who is this man you call your 'uncle' that has such sway with the Dufiro?"

Amber Bronkhorst

Alvah looks at her elementals now and then playfully pushing them or letting them twirl. She smiles hearing about Cicero and his Avasa companion. She nods "Ah yes, The Avasa of Guard and Cicero went through some things as they were with me when i walked the sigil and repaired the pattern. Which i know is very lucky that i managed to do such a thing. But they got quite a boost from it. As did my elemental friends here. They have energy to spare so since there is room here i let them play more. And i suspect Cicero and his companion just need some time as well and they have room here to explore and hunt a bit. " Alvah her smile turns into a grin she nods "Right i never told you, But then again we only spoke once didn't we. " She takes a sip of her coffee. A shiver goes through her as she warms up a bit. still wearing the bright red and orange beaded clothing she wore in Zunala. "Sure i'll answer you, since now i myself have more answers about things. The man i refer to as my uncle, is Nur al Din. He introduced me to these elementals had them play with me. we bound to one another. He had the avasa of Guard bound to Cicero, The dufiro of life saving my life and such. " Alvah watches Realmer. " Does that answer your question? Was it who you thought it might be? Or had you no guesses so far."

Michael James Watson

Alvah feels the fire elemental leave its dance and invisibly wrap itself around her, giving her a comfortable level of warmth despite the cold air. It flickers a little so that Realmer notices that she is enshrouded by a benevolent fire elemental but no one but a practitioner would notice.

Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.

Seeing the Fire Elemental warm Alvah, Realmer realizes how much cooler this realm is compared to Adagalasck. Now that he is not preoccupied with observing the Pattern, his body and mind now register the cold. He reaches with his Psyche to the Red Mandalay Stone embedded in his NP Dagger on his left hip and wills a 10 x 10 area centered upon himself to warm to a comfortable temperature. "Nur... how very interesting. I had a couple of names in mind, but no I didn't expect someone that renowned and Powerful. I have heard his name spoken before in powerful circles and know from those short conversations that his influence and Power runs deep within the Dufirosim. And yes, that does answer my question. Thank you so much for sharing that with me." He changes the subject by pointing to the Pattern. "This Pattern seems friendly, more so than any I have encountered before. Which makes me ponder the Pattern's reaction to Fiona."

Michael James Watson

Vek comes back and retakes his seat, "I just spoke to Julian. They are leaving Vulsar. Fiona is fin but furious with me. As if I told the pattern to do that. A few toes maybe but not the whole leg..I have a feeling its sensitive about Logrus holders. It searched me harder then a enthusiastic singing proctologist. It sensed this was my realm and that Alvah trusts me. I was surprised how interactive it was. Curious.. I hear the Azcalan sigils all have different priorities and are not as connected as the shadows of the pattern. I wonder if the Azcalan sigil imposed on this broken pattern influenced it. It might mean coming here was an act of self=preservation"

Amber Bronkhorst

Alvah smiles listening thinking anout Nur... she still had to ask him about thinks she recalled. That was something for later. Then a slight shrug "I just know him as such that he calls me his niece, pops in now and then. We have a good talk and sometimes he helps. " Following his gesture to the pattern she smile endearing to it. And then shakes her head. "I am not surprised. After what Arlo said. This pattern is young, but it has been treated horribly. Xolotl forced something upon it to intertwine with it. Something that burns. " A slight smile "I do not know if you ever had close contact with the sigil of Azcala or the trumps. But when it is used. It is always a sense of spice. Hot peppers, cinnamon the birning tingling sensation." She looks at Realmer again. "So a young pattern just fixed. Having had a burning sigil of Azcala upon it for probably a long time. And finally it is free of the sigil and away from Azcala. Then a woman, strong willed, demanding walks the pattern." Alvah shows a little shrug "It thought it was Cihalas, the woman in feathers, my mother. She was there when the sigil was woven in with the broken pattern. And ofcourse it lashes out with the one thing it knows. Fire. " She holds her hand above the pattern smiling. "It is not to blame. But we have to work with caution make sure it is not feeling threatened again. But those are my thoughts upon it. I could be wrong." Smiling seeing Vek return she nods hearing the news of Fiona. She then adds. "Yes as i learned all sigils are different and not connected as the pattern is. I think the sigil did influence it. How couldn't it. Being interwoven for so long. And i thibk it used the opertunity of me walking it and my memories and feelings to find a safe place. "

Michael James Watson

Vek looks to Realmer. "You are a practiconer of skill, so evaluate my thinking. My thought is that the Broken pattern was very broken. But according to Merlin when he repaired the pattern that the jewel followed the path of the pattern. Now it was in the jewel but it also could still be in the remaining pattern. Like muscle memory when people scratch itches on amputated legs. The broken pattern is in Azcala so it is hellishly far from Amber. Say its 50%. Xotolt carves a sigil, which would need a first order inscribing tool, forcing the existing broken pattern lines to accept the positions of sigil; a feat that is mind boggling.. Then comes along charm and joy Alvah the tortilla maker and he forces her to walk the sigil. Now the sigil is on a pulled tight broken pattern but she has a full rendition of the pattern in her genes. The Broken Pattern remembers, it shreds the artificed lines of the sigil to mimic the pattern in her to refill its broken pieces. It becomes a full shadow with pieces of the sigil hotwiring it. So its a shadow of the pattern with some of the behaviors of the sigil. We know the full pattern sometimes talks through pattern ghosts. So does the Logrus. Maybe this one is a bit separate from the true pattern but close enough for us to walk it. What other properties of the sigil might it have brought along with it?"

Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.

Realmer listens to Vek's thought process as he pulls out a cigar, lights it with a flame from his finger, inhales strongly, holds it for several moments, then exhales a relaxing sigh and a large cloud of multi-colored smoke. He swirls the smoke with a few Cantrips and forms it roughly into a very shattered version of the Pattern; perhaps 35% or so... barely recognizable as even a Broken Pattern. "I agree with your thinking, Vek; mostly what I was thinking as well. But this is more what I envisioned. Almost like a child's connect the dots game without the numbers for guidance. As much space as there is between the Pattern pieces it wouldn't be impossible to alter the Inscription, given the proper tool, and create a design that is not the Pattern or recreate or mimic another known Inscription's Design." He draws upon the cigar hard, but exhales quickly and with a few more cantrips alters the smoke to look like the Sigil of Azcala overlaying the Shattered Pattern beneath, demonstrating how the alteration may not have been as monumental as he thinks. "Now, as to Alvah's Pattern Imprint, since is that of Azcala's Pattern and Wild at that, it is slightly different than the Primal Pattern of Amber, which is what most Shade, Shadow and Broken Patterns are based on usually. But being that this one was so far removed from Amber, its shaped could have been so distorted that its 'own memory' of the Pattern was also distorted. I agree that upon seeing Alvah's 'Pure Imprint', from its perspective, the Psyche and Mind of that Broken Pattern took what it needed and did the best it could.... hot wiring, as you say, the rest with bits of the Azcala Sigil. Now, since Alvah's Azcala Imprint varies from Vek's Amber Imprint, this Pattern took a bit more from Vek for itself to make itself more like the Pattern, based upon the Azcala Sigil energies dissipating further after he walked it. I feel that my imprint may help it more, but I believe Arlo's will be best as I know he has an Imprint of the Primal Pattern." Realmer swirls his hand and his smoke pattern dissipates as he draws again and exhales a simple cloud of multi-colored smoke. "As for any Azcala traits it might possess, you would be better asking Alvah; I am unfamiliar with that Sigil. But based upon its forced alteration and forced captivity, if you will, I feel quite confident it will be adverse to Willfulness or being forced to do anything it does not want. But it IS quite communicative for a Pattern, most I've ever experienced. I think that will benefit us if we are patient and calm. I would recommend that anyone walking from this point forward, ask for permission from the Pattern, be not Willful in your Walk, and leave all possessions of magical nature behind... as I intend to do. I also intend to talk with the Pattern before I walk it, if it will allow me to, and request that it not strip my other Imprints or unravel the spells I have hung. Don't know if that will work, but I sure hope so; I really don't have the time to re-hang three Frameworks worth of spells before I return to the Wars of Adagalasck."

Michael James Watson

Vek nods, "And you should walk it bereft of the numerous glowing aritfacts that might have managed passage of patterns and spirals before but that willfull pattern might take offence to. We are 30 to 1 here, but i happen to have a nearby 200 to 1 if you don't mind odd physical environements"

Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.

Realmer chuckles. "Already in my plans to drop my gear before walking... made that mistake once when I first came to Amber... lost all my magical gear and that is how I ended up creating most of what I have now. And I am an Adept Shape Shifter, I can adjust to most environments, especially if I need to for Fast Time Spell Hanging or Research. Thanks for the offer... I might need it."

Amber Bronkhorst

Alvah listens while now sitting a lot warmer on the ground her hand still near the pattern. Looking at it as they discuss. "I think it only strips hung spells from anything but the pattern. My azcalan sigil is empty. Sadly enough. Those were great spells which i now have to remember how to do it. Or ask Mandor again." She laughs softly. "As for traits of the Azcalan sigil, my guess, mostly fire and its attitude. Which i love by the way. Maybe for now when walking it make sure that Vek and or I are present and tell the pattern we trust the person or not. Maybe it helps. The pattern seems to communicate and trust Vek and me. I am fearful though that it will lose these traits when being walked on and imprinted by the jewel. So we have to consider if that is best for it or not. Altho it has a strong opinion of its own what it likes or not. " Alvah looks at Vek and raises an eyebrow "Odd physical environment.... curious. "

Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.

Realmer chuckles and smiles at Alvah. "When you've traveled Shadow as much as Vek or myself, you will come to understand the meaning of 'odd physical environments'... especially when traveling nearer to Chaos." He chuckles again then draws once more on his cigar, exhaling the multi-colored smoke and again uses a few cantrips to alter the 'design' of the smoke in the air, this time to resemble the Energy Signature of a Completed Spell of Lightning Bolt. "If time permits, I would gladly help you with your Spells, Alvah... especially if I have to replenish my own after my Walk. You can watch as I Hang my own Spells and mimic what I do to Hang your own. And being that you enjoy Dance... perhaps you could even find a way to incorporate dance into your Spell Weaving and Hanging; during my Adventuring Years, in the Shadow of Oreth, I met a Wizard that Cast her spells by dancing and singing them... it was quite beautiful and mesmerizing."

Amber Bronkhorst

Alvah smiles "Thank you Realmer much appreciated. So far my spell knowledge is basic. Mandor taught me a few extra though. " She grabs the pot of coffee and pours another mug full and quickly drinks it. "Hmm well Fiona showed me something i wish to try as well. We talked about it before you all entered again. Less amused." She nudges Vek's leg with her shoulder. " she made tendrils or raw power from the pattern she raised. Now how she manipulated that it made me think of certain dances with ribbons or whips... which are a blast to perform but dangerous if you are standing to close. " She looks up at Vek "Before dad and my talk ended up in yelling again we actually talked about becomming a sword dancer. But after i had given it some thoughts while mixing the masa in Zunala. It is easy enough combine with spells. " She then runs her hand along her elementals playing about "And my friends and i are already practicing." Looking back at the pattern she frowns "But what are your thoughts. Would the jewel harm the pattern its attitude and traits? "

Michael James Watson

Vek says, " I have little experience wit the jewel. I look forward to seeing it used. First Order inscribing tools are rare., I know of only 3 or 4. The jewel being the strongest. I imagine it will erase any chance o the Azcalans reclaiming this prize.".

Daniel Eric Van Campen Sr.

"I have quite a bit of experience with a Shade Jewel as well as some experience with The Jewel... though no experience in Inscribing Patterns... but I would say that the Jewel will not exactly harm this Pattern, if the Inscriber using the Jewel is mindful of what this Pattern wants, but it will surely affect it attitudes and traits, but to what degree I cannot be sure. And I agree with Vek that the use of the Jewel will indeed keep the Azcalans from this Pattern. And while we are on the subject of the Jewel and who will walk this Pattern with it.... I know that it looks like Arlo will do the honors at this point, but I am also highly Attuned to the Jewel and could also perform the Inscription if needed or desired by the Pattern... it is entirely possible it may prefer one over another based on how it feels about that person... or maybe how you feel about them, Alvah. It seems to like you best; you are its Liberator after all."

Amber Bronkhorst

"I see, well the most important part is that the other Azcalans can't take or harm this pattern anymore and if it is needed then sk be it. Even if it would cost its traits. " She looks between Vek and Realmer and shrugs " well i know Random said that Vek should walk it with the jewel as well. If you would ask the pattern it will choose Vek over Arlo. Although Arlo has alot of experience, i don't know how the pattern will feel about him. I think we have to see how it reacts per person. " She then chuckles "Yeah well it should not take me always as example... i am not the most stable one. And we need stable patterns. " She nods to Realmer "But if the pattern does accept you but not Arlo it would be an idea that you try. "

Michael James Watson

"Whatever Random said I highly doubt he would want to test my new fealty to Amber by putting the eye of the serpent in my hand then letting me walk the pattern with it. The bounty on the gem in Chaos is truly astronomical. A dukedom, a house charter. A seat on the council. Sainthood in the church of the serpent as well as close personal thanks and rewards from the serpent for retrieving its eye. It's temptation just knowing it is within a couple hundred meters from here."

Amber Bronkhorst

Alvah shrugs. "Then why would Random say it? He might risk it. Others have walked with it." Alvah laughs "For sure he won't let me... not having sworn fealty, known thief and sometimes to impulsive for own good. " She winks to Vek. "We will see. First others have to walk it without burning to a crisp. " Tilting her head she remembers something "That is actually a very Azcalan sigil thing. Everybody can walk that sigil but if the sigil doesn't agree, you die... like this, lots of fire. That is why pregnant women often try it or they force their children young over the sigil. Why spend time on those not worthy." She takes a long sip of coffee. "I was just four years old."
