After the centuries of war and destruction faced by the world in the Grand War, a new world is being built from the ashes, with people recently coming out of bunkers and organizing themselves into wider communities.

There were nukes involved, but the main weapon of this war was meta-humans: mutants, genetically-modified super-soldiers, cybernetically enhanced geniuses, you name it!

Each fought for their home nation and its allies against most other countries, they often held positions of authority, and to this day many lead communities of survivors, with mutant families serving as royal blood-lines and mad scientists serving as technocrats.

Conflicts arise between these communities, partly because some of them are lead by literal super-villains, and partly because of people who want to finish the war that ended in a stalemate.
