Sikka Jerass

  • Career: Sentinel
  • Specializations: Artisan, Armorer
  • Description: Sikka is a Miralian of above average height, her facial tattoos denoting someone of high status. She can be described as lithe and willowy and obviously takes great pride in her gear. Everything she wears and carries is the best she can possibly get her hands on and maintained meticulously. She always wears a beautiful and expensive looking silver necklace.

Sikka Jerass had a privileged upbringing to say the the least. Heir to a corporate dynasty, a brilliant engineer and last but not least, blessed with being in tune with the Force, like several of her ancestors. The Mirialan people are deeply religious and practice a primitive understanding of the Force, so the heir to the fortune of Jivu Inc was without a doubt destined for greatness.

It did not work out so easy however and it all came to a climax on her wedding day. Certain elements in the Empire wanted access to the technological innovations Jivu Inc could provide. Her parents were reluctant to do so, and so was Sikka. Her sister Mirza had no such qualms, even going so far as seeing the Empire as the way forward, not to mention a great source of revenue. She counts the Imperial Governor of Miralia, Jegga Mervoru as one of her personal friends.

Mirza and her Imperial allies struck at Sikka's wedding, two years ago, killing her parents and husband to be. Sikka herself only barely survived. It is her childhood friends Tuvi Guqoza and [Nick's character] who got her out. Tuvi's father runs the Miralian branch of [Criminal Cartel], something that always made her family look askance at her choice of friends, but now that connection paid it's dividends. They patched her up and smuggled [Nick's character] and her out of Miralia.

Now they are on the run, their every step hounded by a mysterious Imperial agent who calls herself Kiba Ardesh...

For ease of reference, people and organizations of interest:

Mirza Jerass: Sikka's sister, who took control of her families corporation. Jivu Inc: Corporation owned by the Jerass family. Specializes in cutting edge starship and robotics design and production. Jegga Mervoru: Imperial Governor of Miralia, friend of Mirza Tuvi Guqoza: childhood friend of Sikka, her father is a criminal kingpin. [Criminal Cartel]: Organization whose Miralian branch is run by Tuvi's father. [Nick's character]: Another childhood friend and current lover of Sikka. [Sikka husband to-be was his best friend?] Kiba Ardesh: Shadowy Imperial agent hunting Sikka. Unbeknownst to Sikka a member of the Inquisitorius interested in her Force abilities.

  • Motivation - Ambition/Revenge: Sikka was almost killed at her wedding, her birthright stolen, and she's running for her life, brutally betrayed by her sibling. Yeah, there will be a reckoning.

  • Obligation - Debt 10 / Obsession 10: Sikka owns [Criminal Cartel] a great deal of money for being put back together after her sister's hit. She needed extensive surgery and limb replacements. She's a brilliant, albeit overly focused engineer, working to integrate her favorite fields, powered armor, spaceships and droids. She's the obsessive and stubborn type, and once she gets working considers everything else an unwelcome distraction.
  • Morality - Love/Jealousy 50: Sikka has a deep, abiding affection for [Nick's character], and the passion and happiness it brings out in her is infectious. At times, Sikka is so enamored that she cannot stand to see the object of her love rely on anyone else, something which happens all too often due to her obsessions.

The Mirialan people are described as deeply religious and practicing a primitive understanding of the Force, and have always had members in the Jedi Order. So Sikka will likely know she is in tune with the Force, and some of her ancestors have been Jedi.

  • How long ago was her wedding and standing with her family disrupted?

Not very long ago, say two years ago. Long enough to have recovered somewhat and find her place among the other characters, but short enough for the wounds to still be relatively fresh.

  • Does she know who was behind it?

Yes, her sister, with aid from elements in the Empire who want access to the technological innovations Jivu Inc (her family's corporation) could provide. Their parents were reluctant to do so, and so was Sikka. Her sister obviously has no such qualms and sees the Empire as the way forward, not to mention a great source of revenue.

  • Does she seek revenge?

Ya betcha!

  • Who's someone that she trusts with her life?

The person she turned to after the hit, one of her oldest and truest friends, who is a 'mafia princess' in a powerful criminal syndicate (name TBD, potential hook for other pc's). Doesn't change the fact that she owes them a lot of money for patching her up and getting her off Mirial.

  • Who's someone that she trusts with her secrets?

  • If she could make life difficult for any one person, who would that be?

Obviously her sister. But outside of that an Imperial agent called Kiba Ardesh is hunting her and has been making her life very, very difficult. She might be part of the Inquisitorius.
