Background

Skitter, not so much a name as a description. She's been destined for food practically since she was born. The only reason she's survived long enough to learn to hide, was that she was the only survivor of the only litter her enlo mother ever had. Unfortunately her mother's strangeness meant that eventually Skitter was on her own, her mother gone to feed the trolls. While Skitter was still young she was able to use her cuteness to survive playing on the sympathies of women who had lost litters, now however other women see her pretty face as a threat. Sooner or later someone is going to make sure that when it's time for food, skitter is on the menu. Better to take her chances with what lies outside it's certain death here.
