Magos Biologis Orinoco-48

History

Looks

Ori resembles nothing so much as a cute, nerdy Administratum adept (except in red instead of black to white), complete with horn-rimmed spectacles and a smile that peeks out from under a voluminous hood. Under her flowing robes, however, she bears heavy augmentation (body core, musculoskeletal systems, outright replacement of arms and lower legs, parvogenetically engineered dermal armor enhancement, cerebral enhancement, cranial-based auger arrays/optical enhancement, neck-based MIU, superconductive CNS implants, leg-based magnetogravitic repulsor coils, arm-based electroprojection and ferromagnetic systems, among others), though after the cosmetic treatments and layerings of the Lathes' Collegium Diplomaticus, the only overtly augmented parts of her body are her lower torso (my boobs are natural, come and feel them!). As a concession to her Mechanicus status, she typically wears several mechadendrites anchored to the base of her spine, giving the impression of many writhing tails under her robes. For work which requires more mechanical assistance, she typically dons her power armor and Lathe-pattern servo-harness, which also allow her to support more obvious cyberlimbs and increases her physical strength. Ori has few nudity taboos, mainly because she believes that her implants are the "true flesh" and her fleshy bits are more of a set of comfortable clothing she puts on to not scare the meatbags.

On those occasions when she has/wants to interact with high society, she favors elaborate ballgowns with stockings and long gloves, as well as a choker to hide the MIU interface ports on the back of her neck; after all, she feels that she's already hiding her "true flesh" with meat sleeves, so a few more layers won't really hurt, and apparently some people find it sexy.

Technomancy

When you build, upgrade or repair a machine or attempt to get to the bottom of a scientific mystery, describe what you want to do or know. The MC will say “sure, you can that but” and then 1-4 of the following things:

  • You’ll need access to X.
  • You’ll need to spend X profit.
  • You’ll need help from X.
  • You’ll need to go to X first.
  • You’ll face X danger.
  • You’ll need to disassemble X to make it.
  • You’ll need to figure out X first.
  • You’ll need to build/acquire X first.
  • The best you’ll be able to do is a lesser version.
  • It’ll take a significant amount of time - days, weeks, months.
  • It’ll require heretical technology.
  • It’ll require archeotech.
  • It’ll require xenotech.

Commune with Machine Spirit

When you commune with the spirit of a machine, roll +Adroit. On a 10+, ask 3 questions. On a 7-9, ask 1 question:

  • Who and what made you?
  • What is your purpose?
  • How can I disable you?
  • What have you been used to do recently?
  • What’s wrong with you, and how can I fix you?
  • Who handled you last, apart from me?

Take +1 forward when acting on the answers.

Magos Biologis

You can treat living things (including diseases) like they were machines for the purpose of your Explorator moves.

Bonds

  • Claudius would make an excellent subject for my experiments. (I have no sense of humor, he says?! We'll see about that!)
  • I fear that Kaine does not respect the works of the Omnissiah. (Commissar Cain had cyberpinkies! Praise the Omnissiah! Or else. )
  • Kelara has seen my human side. (Well, I let everyone see my human sides... and front. And back. Hey, that guy back in the Collegium Diplomaticus said I should show flesh to build rapport with you meatbags!)
  • I owe a debt to Nil for their assistance with my works. (If I could just get at his archive... he must have all sorts of juicy data in there and he's not sharing because he's selfish! Hmm... maybe I could build him a girlfriend and loot his datavault while she keeps him busy. To the drawing board!)
