RedLilies

Unnamed Viscount of Memory A man whose past has been lost, ruling over a broken estate.

First Impression Text

The Power of Memory appears to be a man of little in the way of noteworthy or distinctive features. Average appearance, average dress. Ultimately, forgettable. This extends to the Sight, with him appearing as an ordinary human being, unless he is within the Auctoritas of someone with noteworthy (2 or greater) spirit, at which point his aura manifests as a mass of broken and jagged shards of images of the past, in constant flux: an effect many nobilis not used to find quite disturbing, or at least unnatural.

Attributes[edit]

Aspect 1[edit]

Metahuman

5/5 Aspect Miracle Points

Memory has less personal power than average, although he is not entirely without strength of body or swiftness of thought. While not capable of blatantly supernatural acts of myth of legend without pushing himself, he rarely falters or seems the fool.

I have 1 Aspect. That means I perform Level 1 and under Miracles for 0 MP. I perform Level 2 Miracles for 1 MP, I perform Level 3 Miracles for 2 MP, I perform level 4 or 5 Miracles for 4 Miracle Points and I can perform level 6 through Level 9 Miracles as a Word of Command which costs 8 MP.

1 Deadly (1 left) 2 Serious (2 left) 2 Surface (2 left)

Domain 2[edit]

Viscount

6/6 Domain Miracle Points

Memory was once a perfect, flawless thing: a symbol of mankind's ability to take joy in past accomplishments, and learn from past mistakes. Eriskali's attack killed the old power of Memory, and dramatically weakened the estate, such that it is now subjective, biased, unreliable.

The Estate, in addition to the obvious, also includes the physical artifacts of memory: diaries, photographs, monuments, and the like. Memory could, if he chose to do so, hear the prayers of historians, those of advanced age and lengthy memories (a class of people somewhat rare since Eriskali's attack also established a correspondence between age and forgetfulness) and any deeply dwelling on their past.

I have 2 Domain. That means I perform Level 2 and under Miracles for 0 MP. I perform Level 3 Miracles for 1 MP, I perform Level 4 Miracles for 2 MP, I perform level 5 or 6 Miracles for 4 Miracle Points and I can perform level 7 through Level 9 Miracles as a Word of Command which costs 8 MP.

Realm 2[edit]

Realm's Heart

5/5 Realm Miracle Points

Memory's role within the chancel has yet to be defined, given the chancel has yet to be rebuilt. This level of realm, being intimately tied to the Realm's Heart, shows that his Imperator trusts him despite his lack of a past, and his choice of affiliation: this sign of trust is sometimes reflected upon by other Nobilis with respect.

I have 2 Realm.

Spirit 0[edit]

Candleflame

5/5 Spirit Miracle Points

Ruling over a broken estate, Memory has little of the burning sense of "self" that grants other Powers strength and resistance to hostile miracles in their presence, and his capacity to generate the love or hate necessary to Anchor a mortal is greatly limited.

I have 0 Spirit. That means I can have 1 anchors. My Auctoritas raises the level of all Miracles cast against me by 0 Miracle Levels. I don't bother with the Rite of Holy Fire. With the Rite of the Last Trump I can convert 4 MP of any type into 1 MP of any other.

Gifts[edit]

Constant Domain: Lesser Destruction[edit]

Any time, any where, if it would be advantageous for him for it to occur, a lesser destruction of Memory occurs. (9 points.)

Unblemished Guise[edit]

(Penetration 1). Memory appears as human to the Sight, unless within an Auctoritas of strength 2 or greater. (1 point)

Handicaps/Limits[edit]

Broken Estate[edit]

Part of the nature of the damage manifests as the fact that, while with effort he can create new memories, he is incapable of healing or protecting existing memories, and cannot perform miracles of Preservation. (Limit, 1 DMP)

Disturbing to the Sight[edit]

When the penetration is acquired to break his Unblemished Guise, his aura is quite disturbing, as described above. 1 MP when this causes a negative impression when Memory wishes for a good one.

The Code of the Fallen Angels[edit]

1. Corruption is the highest principle. 2. Suffering is a form of corruption. 3. Power justifies itself.

Being master of a broken estate, Memory instinctively gravitated to the code which sees the virtue in imperfection. If pressed, he will invent rationalizations or justifications for the code as necessary.

Bonds[edit]

5 - The Sanctity of his Estate, and his efforts to fix it. 5 - The safety, health, and happiness of his Imperator 5 - The safety, health, and happiness of his Familia 5 - The (as of yet unconstructed) Chancel.

Lacking a past, these bonds reflect those loyalties hardwired by his commencement, and will change as he encounters things and forms personal attachments to them.

Anchors[edit]

None yet.

History[edit]

Forgotten by all, including himself, and no records remain to tell the tale.

Personality[edit]

He honestly isn't too sure yet: but perhaps generalizable as exploratory, experimenting with trying different things, curious.

Goals and Motivation[edit]

To rebuild himself from scratch, to heal his broken estate, and so on.

Design[edit]

The flower of Hemlock, symbol of destruction, conspicuously alone against the backdrop representing allegiance to the Code of Fallen Angels.
