* Mika - tall, with spiky, dark-brown hair and a killer smile. "Can be a lot of fun when he's not looking at himself in the mirror". Assumed he did well in the final tests, and claimed to have gotten the hang of the Equator and Critical Reeling maneuvers with the gear. Dislikes Jana heavily after a romantic attempt during their first year, which Jana handled *very* badly.
* Altan - wiry boy with intense, blue eyes. Seriously hooked on stories about death and suffering - probably kills pets and animals for fun and tried to do the same to a young teen girl. Hedwig and Jana stopped him, but no-one else knows.
* Myna - short girl with mousy blonde hair and spectacles. Graceful, but very shy and self-conscious. Seems to never blink, in case she misses something. Sabine took an interest in her and looked after her. Scouting Squad 3
* Gunther . skilled, strong and well bred, destined for the MP. Long rivalry with Sabine, who detests him and think he's an utter ass. She may not be wrong.
* Manfred - a giant of a man, half a foot taller than Leon and outweighs him by 50 pounds of muscle. Wears his blonde hair short. Family history with the MP - two uncles in, grandfather in - and predisposed to the current system and its nobles. Excellent hand to hand-skills. Gutsy and brave, with a bit of a temper and a chip on his shoulder about his own (impressive) abilities. Friend and sometime rival of Leon. Combat Squad 18, fate unknown.
* Karina - 19 years old, red hair. Among the top three or four in class using the Maneuver Gear. Friendly with Leon, Petra and Manfred. A bit of a peacemaker. Lost both parents and a younger brother when Wall Maria fell. Lived with her aunt and uncle before joining up. She's got two cousins almost old enough to follow her footsteps. Combat Squad 18, fate unknown.  
* Maylen - famously lost her temper during sparring and might have legitimately tried to kill Ten - at least, everyone was sure she wanted to. Strong hand-to-hand combat. Squad 3, Scouting.
* Ten - Morose, gallow-humored girl with almond eyes. One of the best man-to-man fighters among the trainees. Supposedly put money on half the class not making it home from the first foray.
* Arnold - lanky young trainee with black, curly hair. Admires Petra's skills and probably likes her.
* Hedwig - "country"-girl, who still haven't shed her rustic manners. Red hair braided in two braids. Very outgoing and quick to defend or help her friends. Jana's best (only?) friend. 
* Ronald - a class clown, known as a goofball who never takes much seriously. Occasionally gets into bad trouble over it.
* Roman - asked Petra to deliver a gift-wrapped small box to Tilda for him. It got lost in the chaos of the Titan attack.
* Cam - Squad 18, Combat. Freckled and shaggy-haired blonde, constant gentle ribbing and wisecracking. Lost a leg to an Aberrant Titan during the fall of Trost. Fate unknown.
* Silvio - Squad 18, Combat. Another wisecracker. Tried saving Petra from the 15-meter that killed her, but Petra kicked him away to save him. Fate unknown.

* ''Henri'' - Squad 18, Combat. Presumed eaten by an Aberrant Titan during the fall of Trost, but no confirmation.
* Philemon - a gangly, curly-haired cadet. Chosen to lead Scout Squad Five, but not impressed with most of it. Efficient and controlled.
* Grigory - Goateed upper-classman. Scout Squad Five, one of the few Philemon seemed happy with.
* Augustus - Squad Five, Scouting. Another wisecracker, but probably not the best cadet. Philemon was singularly unimpressed.

* Herbert - Squad Five, Scouting. Did not want to get closer to the Titans than in any way necessary.
* Mercer
* Frederick - short and stout; not fat, but... solid. Dances... awfully, and doesn't car who sees it - probably goes for a lot with him.

* Tilda - the intended recipient of Roman's lost gift.
* Dany - trainee Jana beat up severely in hand-to-hand training (using one of Leon's techniques) after she made one joke too many about betting on Jana's life.

* Konrad - missing in action during Squad 34's first encounter. Fate unknown.
* Ursula - Compact brunette who's brown bangs always hides her eyes. Took over leadership of Squad 34 after their first disaster and did well (especially considering the... diverse... group she got left with.
* Hannelore - Blue-eyed blonde, scared and wide-eyed, deeply shaken by the titan attack.
*''Thea'' - possibly killed by a Titan during the fall of the Barracks. Jana refused to make sure if it was her.
* Torsten - leader of Squad 3, Scouting. Uptight and precise, but kept his squad together and safe (until Tobi disobeyed orders and ran off). Refused to assist Squad 34 when it would endanger their own mission (stated intent).
* Ulf - Short, with a temper. Insisted on at least detaching a few to help Squad 34, but bowed to Torsten on the issue, even when Toby bolted.
