A Tuskegee Airman, Roscoe Hynes was flying a mission over Italy 1944. Attempting to test his prototype plane's capabilities, he broke formation, and mysteriously disappeared. Sucked into the Speed Force, Hynes became trapped for seven decades. Freed by the Flash after ending up bouncing between various alternate Earth's, Roscoe as Turbine is trying to step into the hero roll by protecting alternate versions of Earth. It also distracts him from his fractured memories.
