Background[edit]

Mikel always had a talent for working with people. Through grade school and into college he consistently found himself arbitrating conflicts between others. When he discovered that he was one of the Awakened it brought things into clear perspective. Mikel is a Buddhist and believes that it is his responsibility to help others achieve harmony.

Not long after he graduated from college with his baccalaureate degree in marketing, Mikel was hired by Renraku. As part of his contract he received tutelage in adept abilities and had a full sensory suite installed in his head. For ten years he worked for Renraku, observing corporate greed and and the unscrupulous practices of the management. Finally, after a deal that was far from legal even by UCAS standards, he saw an opportunity to exit his contract and go freelance. Mikel took the opportunity and has been getting by brokering deals between different factions in Seattle ever since.
