Overview[edit]

This page is a Lore Sheet for Eight Trigram Wushu, a set of eight Wushu Secrets that maximise the power of martial arts Chi fundamentals.

These techniques can only be used for physical conflict.

The four Yang Techniques can be used for all forms of physical conflict attacks, be they unarmed, with melee weaponry, at range or with any other sort of kung fu! This versatility is part of what makes Eight Trigram Wushu a core part of wushu training for every Xia character!

The four Yin Techniques can only be used to defend against physical attacks, and they are equally efficacious against all forms and modes of physical attack.

Strike of Celestial Perfection[edit]

The classic movements of the Heavenly form are flawlessly executed, and heaven cannot be denied. All defences fall away, and none can deny the perfection of your technique.

Cost: 3 Yang Chi.

Keywords: Attack; Modifier; Physical;

Effect: Your accuracy increases by twice your Heaven Trigram for this attack.

Furious Inner Power Technique[edit]

With angry fists and strikes filled with righteous loathing, you pummel foes into submission!

Cost: 2 Yang Chi.

Keywords: Attack; Modifier; Physical;

Effect: Double the Power of your attack, after all other modifiers..

No Shadow Strike[edit]

Your attacks move so fast, they leave no shadow. How swift thy blade!

Cost: 2 Yang Chi.

Keywords: Attack; Modifier; Aftertouch; Multi-attack; Physical;

Effect: Make an additional attack after this one.

Flow of Endless Movement[edit]

Your attacks naturally gather yang chi, thanks to their elegance and dynamism.

Cost: 0 Yang Chi.

Keywords: Attack; Modifier; Physical;

Effect: For each dice that hits on this attack, gain 1 Yang Chi. The maximum amount of Yang Chi you can gain in a single turn from this technique is equal to your Wind Trigram.

Most Excellent Acceptance[edit]

You accept the attacks, and somehow they all miss you.

Cost: 3 Yin Chi.

Effect: Increase your Interference for this attack by two times your Earth trigram.

Rising Wave[edit]

You absorb the energy of strikes against you, and this empowers your Yin Chi.

Cost: None.

Keywords: Defence; Modifier; Concentration; Physical;

Effect: Effect: Gain Yin Chi equal to the Yang Chi or Demon Chi the enemy expended this on this attack.

The Mountain Does Not Move[edit]

It doesn’t matter if the enemy strikes you, you are not harmed.

Cost: 3 Yin Chi.

Effect: Increase your Absorption for this attack by two times your Mountain trigram.

Fading Mirage[edit]

They move to strike you, but you have gone by the time their attack lands.

Cost: 5 Yin Chi.

Keywords: Defence; Reaction; Concentration; Physical;

Effect: The attack misses.
