Description

Merciless Frog Warriors are vaguely humanoid demons, but have frog-faces and frog legs! They are exceptionally mobile, so used by the forces of evil as harriers and pursuers, as well as assassins and fast moving battlefield warriors.

They tend to be contemptuous of humans, failing to understand how a species so physically weak and so slow to breed could ever have grown to be Heaven's favourites. Regardless, they appreciate the calibre of human craftsmanship, and when they wield swords, axes and other metal weapons they will invariably of human origin.

Traits

  • Physical 3
  • Mental 1
  • Social 1

Demon Trigrams

  • Hell 3 (equivalent to Heaven)
  • Chaos 1 (equivalent to Fire)
  • Storm 3 (equivalent to Wind)
  • Lightning 4 (equivalent to Thunder)
  • Mud 4 (equivalent to Earth)
  • Blood 2 (equivalent to Water)
  • Smoke 2 (equivalent to Mist)
  • Bone 1 (equivalent to Mountain)

Demon Trigrams can be channelled in the same way normal "natural" trigrams can (i.e. Hell for Accuracy, Chaos for Power, etc.)

However, they provide none of the other benefits that the natural trigrams normally do. For example, having a high Blood Trigram doesn't give protection against Fire-based Trigrams in the same way that a high Water Trigram would. Also, significantly. Demon Trigrams don't provide Yang Chi or Yin Chi.

Chi Pools

  • Demon Chi 15

Demon Chi is spent to activate monster powers and to channel Demon Trigrams. It is not interchangeable with Yang Chi or Yin Chi.

Resilience Pools

  • Physical Resilience 13
  • Mental Resilience 11
  • Social Resilience 11

Kung Fu Secrets

  • Frog Leap

The Merciless Frog Warriors are exceptionally mobile, and can leap around acrobatically all over the damn place.

  • Amphibious

The Merciless Frog Warriors function equally well inand out of water.

  • Shifting Demon Camouflage Skin Technique

Spend 4 Demon Chi and an action to turn invisible. While invisible add +(Mud) to physical Inteference, and Interference can reduce Accuracy of attacks to zero. When attacking from invisible, add +(Storm) to Motion, but then invisibility ends.

  • Vampiric Frog Tongue Attack

Spend 0 Demon Chi and an action to make a vampiric frog tongue attack. On a successful attack, deal no physical damage, but instead reduce target's Yang or Yin Chi (defender's choice) by 1 for each point of damage that would have been dealt, and gain the same amount in Demon Chi. No combo techniques.

  • Demonic Confidence

Spend X Demon Chi and an action to regenerate X Mental or Social Resilience. X may not exceed Hell trigram. Cannot use if reduced to 0 of either of above resiliences.
