Overview
This page is a Lore Sheet for the Steel Breaks the Mountain, a set of Wushu Secrets that utilise the breaking power of heavy bludgeoning weapons, such as the iron club. This is a great style for those who want to maximise damage output, and synergises well with a strong Fire Trigram.
These techniques can only be used for physical conflict.
The attack techniques on this Lore Sheet can only be used for physical attacks. Normally, a practitioner must have an iron club to benefit from this fighting style, though any weapon that can make heavy smashing attacks can be used in place. If you are unarmed, you cannot use attacks from this Lore Sheet!
There are no defence techniques on this Lore Sheet!
Inescapable Injury
"Absorb this!"
Cost: 2 Yang Chi.
Keywords: Attack; Modifier; Physical;
Attack: If this physical attack hits with at least one dice, you will always do a minimum of total physical resilience damage equal to your Fire Trigram, regardless of your Power and the target's Absorption.
Shatterstrike
"Yes, this attack is slow... but watch now as iron and stone crumble before my assault!"
Cost: 1 Yang Chi.
Keywords: Attack; Action; Physical; Concentration;
Attack: This attack has x10 Power, with the multiplier applied after all other additions and increases. If the target uses any defensive channeling or defensive kung fu secrets, the attack automatically misses.
Staggering Force
"Dancing Fairy Stance, eh? Try maintaining your footwork after I hit you across the room!"
Cost: 2 Yang Chi.
Keywords: Attack; Modifier; Physical;
Attack: If this attack hits the target is knocked out of his stance, and thrown directly away from you a number of metres equal to your Fire Trigram.
Broken Steel
"That flimsy thing a sword? Watch me break it!"
Cost: 2 Yang Chi.
Keywords: Attack; Action; Physical;
Attack: If this attack hits destroy X pieces of equipment on the target, where X is your Fire Trigram. This is in addition to the normal damage dealt.
Skyward Strike
"He's not coming down for a while."
Cost: 1 Yang Chi.
Keywords: Attack; Modifier; Physical;
Attack: If this attack hits and deals at least one damage the target is lifted into the air by it. The target cannot move normally on his next turn (as his feet aren't on the ground) but can still utilise certain magical forms of movement (e.g. telportation). For each full 8 points of damage you deal with this attack, the number of turns the target spends airborne is increased by one.
Mighty Steel Zodiac Techniques
"Furious boar hammer strike!"
Prerequisite: You must know at least one stance from the Twelve Zodiac Stances.
Cost: None.
Keywords: Continuous; Physical;
Effect: You can still gain the benefits of the Twelve Zodiac Stances when you are wielding an iron club in defence, or attacking with an iron club in melee. Note that you must still buy the stances as separate kung fu secrets!
