Anastasya, or Stasi as her friends call her, is the Professor of Applied AstroEngineering and Micro Crystalline Power Structures at Nexus Interstellar University, who because of her Commission in the UP Aerospace Command, is in active duty and currently assigned to be the pilot of the UPSP ''Ponderosa''. Her first assignment was with the Section commanded by then Flight Leftentant Kat Cartwright, and she ended up being her wingwoman through the many battles and adventures with the 193rd Air Wing, ''the Sunset Angels'', until Kat's promotion to Commander and subsequent transfer. Stasi was then transferred to assist Dr. Haphzhing with his engine designs until his passing. She then was being sent to join a new UPAC squadron when the ''Ponderosa'' needed a new pilot which she volunteered for since she had a hand in making the engine. Her callsign is ''Madgirl''

Anastasya, or Stasi as her friends call her, is the Professor of XenoArcheology at Nexus Interstellar University, who because of her Commission in the ConStel Marine Reserve, keeps getting called back to active duty to help decode, research or rebuild ancient writings and machines. She was a 1st Lt. in the CSM R&D area of the force before she retired to the Reserves, so she could go into her chosen field.  
  
She got her nickname of ''MadGirl Extraordinaire'' when she was still a teenager, because of her "Times of Sparky Madness" when she designs, builds, rebuilds or just plain slaps together components for any number of scientific items of many different things. Her Jetpack is a design of her own that she sold to Sakura Aerospace as part of their bid to build it for the CSM. Hers though, has been "modified" by Stasi to have better, longer flight time, be more robust and even more compact than usual. Her other gear have been either built or "modified" by her.

Stasi was the last assistant who worked with Dr Haphzhing with his engine designs and the formation of the crystal manifold system that allowed greater speed and manuverability with no loss of power or wearing of the components. The last series of ships that received the new drives were the last of the Tahoe class ships, including the ''Ponderosa''. One of her quirks is that she can "feel" the vibrations if the crystal in the engines and likes to harmonize with them when in transit. Usually while doing so she gets hit with her "Sparky Madness" and has to either build something or at least write it all down for later.

Stasi doesn't mind when they call her back into active duty because it means either a new puzzle to solve or a new thing to research and build, both of which can invoke the MadGirl to emerge, but she does wish that they would give her more than 12 hours usually.
