She also doesn't really advertise that she has a solid mid-A average, with social studies, literature, and of course art as her best subjects and chemistry the only thing she's struggling to stay above a C in. She's never gotten why some people are ''proud'' of skating by with crappy grades and not learning anything. Her own perfectionism would just not let her do that. | She also doesn't really advertise that she has a solid mid-A average, with social studies, literature, and of course art as her best subjects and chemistry the only thing she's struggling to stay above a C in. β | + | While working the traditional summer job at Suncrest Amusements and Boardwalk this past break (which at least served as a welcome distraction from feeling dead inside), she had an actual, terrifying brush with the supernatural. Not that most people believe her, but she knows what she saw. There was a leak from above the ghost train ride, and getting actual maintenance to open up the old haunted house to get to the pipe was going to take forever, so she volunteered to slip up through an old access hatch and at least see if a bucket could be put under the leak or something. She didn't find the actual source of the leak. In the dark, cluttered old rooms, she stumbled on a 'scene' of a clown flaying a mannequin of a ringmaster - at least she thought they were both mannequins - until the clown turned and slashed at her. The knife just passed through her, but it felt cold, so cold, and she didn't stop screaming until she'd dragged herself back through the hatch. She'd already been uncomfortable around clowns, but now it's a full-blown phobia, and she still has nightmares. Whether it was a ghost or some other sort of nasty spirit in there... the GM only knows. | |
And when she finds out actual vampires suck way more than their Chronicles of Darkness counterparts, she's going to be so disappointed. | And when she finds out actual vampires suck way more than their Chronicles of Darkness counterparts, she's going to be so disappointed. |
