There is nothing remarkable about Koran’s past. A boy who never knew his father, his mother was a prostitute in one of the nastiest brothels in town. He rarely saw her and chose to stay away from home as much as possible to avoid her as she was often drunk and abusive. He found a semblance of family with a gang of friends who he ran with for 10 years.
