'''Capsule:''' Medusa is the queen of the Inhumans, a genetic offshoot of mankind that lives in the hidden city of Attilan. Each inhuman possess a superpower derived from exposure to a mutagenic known as the Terrigen Mist. Medusa's power is her animated hair.

Like all the Inhuman Royal Family, Medusa is a close friend of the Fantastic Four. She even became a member of the FF for a while in stories published in the early 1970s, when [[Invisible Woman|Susan Richards]] left the team temporarily due to marital problems with [[Mister_Fantastic|Reed]].

Medusa's husband is [[Black Bolt]], the monarch of the Inhumans. Due to Black Bolt's destructive voice, Medusa acts as a spokesperson for her husband.
