If we look deep within the magic of the binding swords (OOC: Severed of Souls? Yet if a threat of shadow is followed, followed through a plane made up of the base element of darkness, the infinite of non-existance, we find our mind's eye among a nebula of buzzing thoughts. I think I merely suggested that lycanthropes were a problem, and that it could be solved with an application of extra-strength wolfbane?", and of course there's my rakasha body going "Kill! Be Evil! '''Kanatash''': Can do. I was planning on getting some anyway. I want to save the image of this goody two-shoes going all evil for posterity. And possibly blackmail.

Sa'vor - greetings
+
'''Kithle''': Isn't that Norbaz's Schtick?

Chalky - Hey can I bum a few scales, you know I've always wanted to try to see what colors those would make.
+
'''Kanatash''': Who do you think gave me the recorder?

Sa'vor - I don't see thee harm, let me ju... AAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH

Chalky - Thanks (scampers off)

'''Sa'vor''': I don't see the harm, let me ju... AAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH

Chalky - I find that audacity and brutality can shock even the migtiest and most jaded of beins. Plus i really do want to try some paints with these, so i decided to stock while I have the chance. If he ever comes after I was trying to shock him back, ok.
+
'''Chalky''': Thanks (scampers off)

Kithle - Ok, then I'll just take this faded patch.
+
'''Sa'vor''' (minus most of his skin): that was unnessesary roughness.

Kanatash - I'm never gonna let him live this down. That scene alone is worth a century or two at least.

Kithle - Now in exchange for getting the gold to rebuild the Cloning machine you gotta promise not to clone any crew with names after this, redshirts are ok, and no jealas. I will hurt you if I see so much as one extra jeala.
+
'''Kithle''': Okay, then I'll just take this faded patch.

Ketler - Yeah yeah, threats of fates worse than death.

Kithle drops patch of sa'vor skin into machine, Ketler hits lever (ever notice how many K's end up in this crews' names) Machine smokes and whistles like something out of a b movie.

Kithle - I offered him the secret to an ingredient garunteed to add at least 2 alarms to his Chili.

(Its midnight, the Forgotten Freedom is still docked in Sharn ( mainly becausev no one can touch them and its funny to see how edgy the watch gets) a black cloaked figure walks up the gangplank and stands before Sa'vor)
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': Greetings traveller
 +
 +
'''Black cloaked figure''': Greetings cousin
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': Tara?
 +
 +
'''Tara''': Yes
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': How did you find me? Its been at least thirty years since we last met,
 +
 +
'''Tara''': Tt has, I tracked you down by using detect magic, such a huge source of magic can't hide for long. I'm disgusted you've joined the light side, after everything they did to you.
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': All things can be forgiven
 +
 +
'''Tara''': (projects memories) Like this?
 +
 +
(A juvenile Sa'vor cowers as a mob of children pelt stones at him screaming
 +
" Get the abomination", Sa'vor renembers the blood dripping from his face, the pure pain of their hatred)
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': They were just children, children cannot understand that we are all equal inside
 +
 +
'''Tara''': Well, what about this memory?
 +
 +
(This time Sa'vors older, he starts to walk towards a village, an flaming silver arrow imbeds itself in his arm. he screams in agony and hits the floor writhing as its holy flames sear his tainted flesh. the same mob surrounds him and begins to beat him with sticks this time screaming
 +
" Weak, your tainted blood is weak" and " why don't you just end it, abomination?")
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': (Brushes a hand across the scar) Sometimes people are blinded by their faith
 +
 +
Tara: Well, what about these memories passed down from our family line?
 +
 +
(This image is older, seen through the eyes of a child being led away, dragons and elves attack and slaughter the members of house D'Vol. a lithe ranger is torn apart by dragon claws. mages are immolated by flame breath, beneath the childs feet lie the twisted and tortured bodies of the house D'Vol guards, some with flesh burned by acid. some just crumbling skeletons. before the child's eyes a guard is decapitated by an elven scimitar, the child sees her mother cut down and hacked apart by curved blades before she and a few others are teleported away.)
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': (Just catching on to the fact Tara's there) Wait... I saw you die, thirty years ago, in this very city. you and the rest of my family were cut down by paladins. I saw it. I saw the bloodshed, you were innocent, they were innocent. They where after me.
 +
 +
'''Tara''': And we told them nothing, you are of our blood, you are part dragon, like us.
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': How could paladins do that to innocent people? How can anyone justify slaughtering innocents for their bloodline. Killing twisted murderers is one thing, they broke the laws and are not protected by them. They deserve to be sent to death.
 +
 +
'''Tara''': You've been blinded by your alingment change, you believe there's good in everyone. there isn't, there's only death and pain and darkness. you may feel contented, you may feel calm, but you don't see the suffering anymore, you dont see what good ruling the world has done.
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': It's true, I don't see
 +
 +
'''Tara''': Are you happy as one of white?
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': I feel slightly happy....
 +
 +
'''Tara''': Do you feel the ecstasy of magic you used to?
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': I...
 +
 +
'''Tara''': Do you?
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': No, I don't, there is not joy in my magic. The only joy I ever felt... it's gone
 +
 +
'''Tara''': And what is it traded for?
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': Calm and serenity, which I could have gained as one of the dark.
 +
 +
'''Tara''': Remember my death? Remember the tortured screams of the last of the Vol line? Your brethren?
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': I do.
 +
 +
'''Tara''': Do you renember the taste of blood ?
 +
 +
'''Sa'vor''': I do

[[Forgotten_Freedom:Plot_Lines|Back to plots]]
+
'''Tara''': What do you feel for the paladins now?
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': I ... pity and hate them. I pity them for thier blinded arrogance. I hate them for thier acts of violence against the innocent. I want to .. destroy them beneath by boots. I want to wield the dark magics again. I want to bring an empire of fair and just treatment, where people follow the laws set down, where they are enforced once more. And I know now that it can only be done with evil
 +

 +
'''Tara''': Then all is as it should.
 +

 +
(Theres a sudden sphere of darkenss that consumes Sa'vor, when he reappears, his robes are gone, his armour returns. a black hood covers his face, his colourless eyes stare out with no compassion once more)
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': I'm back...
 +

 +
'''Tara''': How does it feel?
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': I feel.. the pure hunger for knowledge and power, I feel the thirst for blood. I feel the hatred and the bloodlust, I feel the ecstasy of magic flowing through my viens.
 +

 +
'''Tara''': Then all is as it should be
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': What's the real reason you found me, Tara?
 +

 +
'''Tara''': I discovered that someone raised Dra'vos, he's training himself to destroy you.
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': Whom raised him?
 +

 +
'''Tara''': Errandis D'vol, our old relative.
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': how did you survive the attack?
 +

 +
'''Tara''': When they killed me it was an image they killed, my real self was on Mabar, where I contracted vampirism like you did. then I returned here after about ten years on Mabar, i've been searching for the magical vaults the whole time. I found them, just before you did, and embraced their knowlege. then I began to search for you
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': It seems you've found me, what's your objective now?
 +

 +
'''Tara''': To bring about this empire you dreamed of, to help you build this army
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': Yes, now that you're with us, nothing will stop our rise ....
 +

 +
'''Tara''': Don't be so sure
 +

 +
Sa'vor: I know, I know. that's just the kind of traditional thing you say
 +

 +

 +
----
 +
'''Projection of Kithle''': That was boring...
 +

 +
'''Terra''': What was?
 +

 +
'''Projection of Kithle''': Sa'vor changed back. Just like that. No blood, no madness, nothing.
 +

 +
'''Terra''': Well, at least you and Chalky got something out of it.
 +

 +
At this time, there is a knock on the door, and a male human walks in.
 +

 +
'''Greg''': (nervously) You called for me?
 +

 +
'''Terra''': Ah, good timing. Kithle, this is Greg, one of my more promising underlings.
 +

 +
'''Projection of Kithle''': He certainly fits the look of a henchman...
 +

 +
'''Terra''': I left him in charge while I was away. But it seems that my faith was misguided.
 +

 +
'''Greg''': (his face goes pale) W-what? What do you mean by that?
 +

 +
'''Terra''': You honestly thought you could steal from me and get away with it?
 +

 +
'''Greg''': Lies! I haven't done anything!
 +

 +
'''Terra''': Silence, traitor!! I had an old friend of mine track you and your pathetic friends down. You hid your little scheme well, just not well enough.
 +

 +
'''Greg''': Squishy...
 +

 +
'''Terra''': Indeed. Your cohorts are already being rounded up. You know what happens to traitors here...
 +

 +
A look of terror consumes him and he bolts for the door. Before he gets there, Terra slams against the wall with a blast of Psionic energy.
 +

 +
'''Greg''': (now pinned against the wall) Ugh... h-how are you...
 +

 +
'''Terra''': I have gained a great deal more power during my absence. Though it isn't entirely necessary to deal with the likes of you, it makes it that much more fun.
 +

 +
Terra snaps her fingers and lets him down as two of her guards enter the room and take him away.
 +

 +
'''Projection of Kithle''': Nicely handled. The look on his face was priceless.
 +

 +
'''Terra''': It gets better. Wait till you see my punishment...
 +

 +
'''Projection of Kithle''': We may have a new ally and a new enemy as well.
 +

 +
'''Terra''': Bussiness as usual then
 +

 +
'''Projection of Kithle''': I wonder how Sa'vor is going to react when he finds out about me eating a clone of his brain, especially the part where it gave me a big chunk of his powers.
 +

 +
'''Terra''': He's not going to be happy, at the same time there's not much he can do about it at this point.
 +

 +
'''Projection of Kithle''': Remind me to Satnak exorcise S/S somethings messing with him.
 +

 +
'''Terra''': I really wish people would stop trying to possess the crew. It never ends well, for them. Plus it shows a lack of creativity at this point.
 +

 +
'''Projection of Kithle''': Satnak's gotten enough practice recently, she actually does more than suppress the possessing entity, she can actually draw them out and consume them.
 +

 +
'''Terra''': About done here.
 +

 +
'''Projection of Kithle''': Oooooh great, now about that tour.
 +

 +

(A gang of twenty redshirts walk through the corridors, safe in the knowlege that Sa'vor is no longer hunting them and that nameless terrors do not attack people in large groups, at the back is Jimmy, a friendly sort of redshirt. completely harmless. but unfortunatly. he's at the back. and everyone knows what happens to people traveling at the back. the darkness reaches out and grabs Jimmy, his tortured screams echo throughout the ship.)
 +

 +
'''redshirt bob''': what the?
 +

 +
'''Redshirt 112''': where's Jimmy?
 +

 +
'''Nameless redshirt''': he was here a second ago
 +

 +
(Something moves, and all the redshirts draw weapons)
 +

 +
'''Redshirt JJ''': what was that?
 +

 +
'''Redshirt bob''': it.. it could have been somthing nameless and horrible... you know .. about to tear our souls from our bodies
 +

 +
'''Redshirt 122''': you had to say that, didn't you! you couldn't you just keep your mouth shut!
 +

 +
'''Nameless redshirt''': let's just keep moving
 +

 +
(They continue to travel along the corridors, thier lanterns illuminate a huge pool of blood and a horrible mangled corpse. huge rents are in its armour, horrible wounds and gashes leak blood and enlarge the pool. the corpse's face is twisted into a terrible scream, the last scream of someone in horrible agony)
 +

 +
'''Redshirt Bob''': Oh Khyber ! it's Jimmy!
 +

 +
(He runs towards Jimmy, not noticing the fine silk like strand of piano wire across the corridor. he runs into it at full pelt. his throat slit by the fine wire and a spray of blood splattering the walls)
 +

 +
'''Redshirt 122''': HOLY ****!
 +

 +
'''Nameless redshirt''': I think I'm going to be sick...
 +

 +
'''redshirt JJ''': guys, I think you should see this
 +

 +
(They shine the lanterns to reveal a message written in Jimmy's blood, the message reads " So many redshirts and so little time")
 +

 +
'''Redshirt 122''': this is not good
 +

 +
(The shadows move and redshirt 422 fires his crossbow, the shadows don't react and reach out for him. he screams in terror and vanishes. the red-shirts huddle together their crossbows primed)
 +
Nameless redshirt: (panicking) oh Khyber oh Khyber oh Khyber, we're gonna die. WERE GONNA DIE! ( he sprints off back the way they came, the shadows pulse around him, he screams and the redshirts watch the bloody and violent death he suffers. his mangled corpse is thrown to the floor. other redshirts panic and run off into the darkness, only to be cut apart by the shadowy entity, blood now dripps from all the walls and corpses ( headless or otherwise) now litter the ground. all that's left is Redshirt 122 and Redshirt JJ. )
 +

 +
'''Redshirt JJ''': look 122, there's something I want to tell you before I die
 +

 +
'''Red-shirt 122''': yeah?
 +

 +
'''Redshirt JJ''': 122, I've always hated you the most. and I hope when its fininished with my corpse that it spends extra long rending you limb from limb
 +

 +
'''Red-shirt 122''': thanks, I'm sure I'll enjoy watching you die
 +

 +
(Redshirt 122, screams as a bolt of red light strikes him, he then explodes in a shower of gore and blood, a black armoured form steps from the shadows, a black hood covering his face. he stares down at the cowering form of Redshirt JJ. all JJ can see in the light of the lantern are two colourless eyes)
 +
Sa'vor: I'm sparing your life, redshirt
 +

 +
'''redshirt JJ''': why ? why don't you just kill me and get it over with?
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': now go, go and tell all the other redshirts what happened here. go tell them that I'm back, go tell them the horrible, horrible things I'm going to do to them before I drink them dry
 +

 +
'''Redshirt JJ''': why?
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': because then they'll try harder to get away, because then they have a chance of possibly ascending to crewhood. oh and because blood tastes better from someone who's afraid beyond belief. and I enjoy hunting difficult prey.
 +

 +
'''Redshirt JJ''': I'll go now
 +

 +
(He runs off into the darkness, and behind him he hears the horrible maniacal laughter of Sa'vor. a sound that haunts him for the rest of his life. every night he remembers that laugh. and the horrible colourless eyes.)
 +

 +
Igor steps up behind Sa'vor, totally unnoticed. He surveys the bodies of the redshirts.
 +

 +
'''Igor''': Thuperb, thir, if you don't mind my thaying.
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': Not at all, Igor. After all, you've worked for more people like me than anyone on Eberron. Even I like hearing how I compare to others… though I don't let it go to my head.
 +

 +
'''Igor''': That bit with the wire—
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': Well, they can't all be traditional. I mean, traditions have to start somewhere.
 +

 +
'''Igor''': I remember for Mathter Haarghuul it was a thkeleton.
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': What?
 +

 +
'''Igor''': A Dhakaani necromanther I onthe worked for. He lured the thubject clother, and then the thkeleton thprang out of the body and attacked. You thee, he thecretly animated it. There wath a man with a thenthe of black humor.
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': Wow, that is good.
 +

 +
'''Igor''': The motht important quality in a villain ith alwayth the willingneth to meth with people'th mindth.
 +

 +
Sa'vor has a suddenly realization. It strikes him like Norbaz's chili strikes the stomach.
 +

 +
'''Sa'vor''': So that's why you work for Jarlot!

(Sa'vor stands staring over the deck, Terra and Lisa stand next to him. Slip is somewhere in the shadows)

Lisa: Well, it looks like you slitting that old guy's throat in his sleep has been redeemed.

Sa'vor: Indeed

Lisa: And possibly all your other evil acts

Sa'vor: Indeed

Terra: Doesn't that make for an alingment change? you've just commited a good and selfless act to save the world.

Sa'vor: Protecting the crew and trying to stop law taking over the world?

Terra: Yes

Lisa: So that means you're good now...

Sa'vor: Oh Khyber

(Suddely theres a bright flash of white light that engulfs Sa'vor. it clears, and before them stands Sa'vor once again, but he's changed drastically. now he stands in robes of pure white, his colourless eyes emit a feeling of serenity and peacefulness. the armour slightly visible beneath the robes has changed as well. instead of being black and jagged its transferred to being silver and elegeant with gold details, the ruby that once marked its chest has vanished replaced with a shimmering diamond. his torque now bears two Sapphires instead of rubies. dangling form his belt is a glowing silver holy symbol. the runes on his armour and skin have changed becoming Irial runes.)

Terra: Sa'vor?

Sa'vor: (blinks) Yes?

Terra: What just happened?

Sa'vor: I am not sure, but now, instead of hatred and darkness my soul is filled with a supreme love and respect of all life. I feel that I am in capable of cold blooded murder any more.

Terra: Can you change back?

Sa'vor: (thinks a moment) I am afraid I do not want to, I am disgusted by the twisted and evil person I once was. Wielder of dark arts that frightened even the most experienced black magician. I'm still capable of wielding such weapons but only in pursuit of good.

Lisa: So your redeemed now?

Sa'vor: I am now redeemed, I follow the path of light and bear the mark of life. I must take my leave of you, I believe that there is much thinking I must do.

Slip: That was weird

Lisa: Well... at least I'm not the only lawful good member of this ship now

Terra: Still, he could cause problems

Slip: I doubt it, he's was a violent murderer before, so now he's a pacifist.

(In the back ground a redshirt bursts into laughter at seeing Sa'vor, reckoning that this pacifist is weak, he attacks. only to be knocked sprawled onto the floor from a blast of arcane energy)

Slip: Then again...

Lisa: We should keep an eye on him

(Ten minutes later below deck, Sa'vor walks/stumbles across a large group of deamon worshippers, Sa'vor notes the human sacrifice they have perpared and raises a silver gauntleted hand. in it apears a mind blade of silver light. the cultists turn and see Sa'vor.)

Cultist 1: Yo, Sa'vor, want to help us sacrifice a human?

Cultist 2: Wow, what's the matter with your clothes dude?

Sa'vor: Vile demon worshippers, lay down your weapons and repent

Cultist 1: You're joking right?

(Sa'vor prepares a ligthning bolt)

Cultist 2: I don't think he is

(The lightning bolt turns cultist one to ash, cultist two gets ready to run but is too slow. he gets decapitated by a thrown mind blade. Sa'vor raises a holy symbol and the black and twisted ones of the cultists turn to dust. he frees the sacrifice and lets it free. He then utters a prayer for penance for killing)

Aureon : Hey, Dol!

Dol Dorn : What!?

Aureon : My cabinet of souls caught on fire and fell over, you know what that means, right?

Dol Dorn : Oh, hell...

Sa'vor : Hello, small cute and fuzzy mammal, let me pet you. I think I shall hug you, and pet you, and name you George. Wow, being at one with the universe is more fun than I thought.

John : Well, enjoying yourself Sa'vor?

Sa'vor : John! It is most wonderful to see you on this brilliant afternoon! How are you doing?

John : I'm fine. How about you? You seem very peaceful.

Sa'vor : I am enjoying the sunset! I never knew that it could be so colorful! Now I know why you've chased so hard after enlightenment you've found!

John : I'm not enlightened. I try, but I am not fit to teach others. Perhaps one day I will be. That doesn't matter. Enjoy the sunsets, breathe the air, laugh, cry, what have you. The important thing is just to be.

Sa'vor : TAKE ME AS YOUR DISCIPLE!

Kithle : Kanatash, why did you drive Sa'vor insane?

Kanatash : I have to have a reason?

Kithle : He just asked the keel to take him as his disciple.

Kanatash : Crikey... umm... Yeah... That wasn't me.

Kithle : Oh... Why don't I believe you? Oh yeah, YOU'RE ALWAYS TRYING TO DRIVE EVERYBODY INSANE!

Kanatash : Mmm... Yeah, but at least I'm honest about it.

Kithle : Hmmm... Alright, you're off the hook, but...

Kanatash : What?

Kithle : "Crikey"? Have you been watching Klaz's TV show?

Kanatash : I... SHUT UP!

Kanatash: In my defense I was looking for new material for my little experiments with the redshirts and Klaz is clearly out of his mind. I was hoping to find out what caused him to lose his mind in the first place so I could repeat it.

Norbaz: Thanks for the wash-off Terra... OH SWEET KHYBER, THE LETTER!

Norbaz runs off below deck leaving a dust trail after image of himself in his wake.

Terra: That was... odd.

Jarlot: I still give the Sword thing a 6.5. It just lacked... panache.

Ketler: You gave the finale to Angel a 6.5! There's no such thing as epic enough with you.

Jarlot: Transformers the Movie....

Ketler: I disavow that movie from Transformers continuity....

Jarlot: HOW THE HELL DO YOU DISREGARD....

(The bickering continues)

Ketler: I give an 8.5

Jarlot: I point out that we're using the Olympic grading scale also.

Ketler: Yes, very pleasing performance.

Roosevelt: I wish you all death.

If we look deep within the magic of the binding swords (OOC: Severed of Souls? IC): we find the husk of what was once a proud Rakshasa Rajah, Sutekh, now seemingly stripped of all existential power and simply existing because it will one day be needed… for who knows what reason. There is no sign of Cheese.

Yet if a threat of shadow is followed, followed through a plane made up of the base element of darkness, the infinite of non-existence, we find our mind's eye among a nebula of buzzing thoughts. We are in someone's mind at the very existential level. There are two blobs here, one small and black, another larger and silver.

Silver: Well that didn't work very well.

Black: You just had to go into your "The world needs to be cleansed of evil" phase again?

Silver: I can't help it. You try listening to the prayers of millions of humans, and some dwarves, and a few elves, etc., for hundreds of years and listen to them whine on about how "The problem with today's generation…" or "In my day people didn't go around stealing from each other…" and not want to smack them upsdie the head and say "HELLO? Things have ALWAYS been this bad! Did I tell you to go purge all the lycanthropes? I think I merely suggested that lycanthropes were a problem, and that it could be solved with an application of extra-strength wolfbane?", and of course there's my rakshasa body going "Kill! Be Evil! Serve the cause of Pain and Suffering!", and this self-righteous bird-snake going "Kill the demons!" every time I try to suggest being nice to them so that maybe they'll see for a second that they're not all that different and that being Good HAS A FEW ADVANTAGES!

Black: No wonder you made Jaela so hot.

Silver: I had to do something to entertain myself!

Kithle: Rofl... Sa'vor... hahahahahaha... a good guy... hahahahahaha

Keal-thas: I'm worried

Kithle: I'll fix it ... Now is the perfect time to eat his brain!!! *drools*

Keal-thas: Sweet Macchiavelli that look means trouble.

Kithle: Ah, so you finished that outworld literature I snagged from Ketler.

Keal-thas: Most of us are, it's hard with only one copy of each though.

Kithle: Yeah well my paycheck isn't big enough to bribe Ketler for extras, copy them down yourselves.

The silver blob is floating in the same space as one of the spaces the thoughts fly through.

Silver: Uh-oh.

Black: You made a mistake?

Silver: For having helped bind me, Sa'vor has been turned to good.

Black: And the problem is?

Silver: Well, he has now asked to be John the keel's disciple.

Black: I still fail to see the problem.

Silver: Oh, wait, rewinding reality. Apparently he ripped apart some demon worshippers.

BIG GIANT VOICE: AND HE THINKS HE NEEDS TO BE GOOD TO DO THAT? WHAT'S THE POINT OF BEING GOOD IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO BE ALL HONORABLE? IT'S JUST NOT FUNNY! THAT'S WHAT I CAN'T STAND ABOUT MILITANT GOOD PEOPLE: THEY'RE SO WHINY ABOUT HOW GOOD IT IS NOT TO BE EVIL AND YET THEY GO AND BE EVIL WITHOUT FLINCHING!! OKAY, NOW WE HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM.

Black: I see you're back.

BIG GIANT VOICE: I NEVER LEFT, EVEN THOUGH I WAS GONE. YOU TWO MUST RETURN THERE AND MESS SOMETHING UP. I NEED A GOOD LAUGH.

Silver: And Sa'vor?

Black: You know we can't touch him. He's controlled by another Entity of Existence.

Silver: Oh, and I won the bet.

Black: Fine. You get to be the animal next time.

Volrath looks down on a list in his hand

Thing I want to do before I become Daelkyr

1) (crossed off) Save the world.

2) (crossed off) Become more mature.

3) Make amends with my father.

4) Have a three-way with Japanese twins.

5) Hunt down Renal Drunhoon.

6) Torture him in every fashion possible, rinse, dry, repeat.

7) Find the one who calls himself Bondjamesbond.

8) Get one last kiss from (name is smudged out)

Volrath : Wow, haven't looked at this in awhile. Who was that person in number 8?

Squishy: All right, now that the most current world destroying menace is gone, I have the report you wanted.

Terra: Oh, thanks.

She scans over the document, looking rather displeased.

Terra: (muttering) Bastards...

Squishy: As you can see, your suspicions were well-founded.

Terra: Looks like I'll have to pay them a visit...

(later)

Terra: Hey, Captain.

Jarlot: Yeah?

Terra: I know it's a little short notice, but could you drop me off in Sharn?

Jarlot: Now? We still have psycho-good Sa'vor to deal with.

Terra: I know, but I can't really do much with that, and I have a rather urgent errand to attend to.

Jarlot: Fine, we'll stop there tomorrow.

(even later)

Terra: A moment, Kithle.

Kithle: Sure.

Terra: I'll be stopping by my headquarters tomorrow. I know I promised to show you around, but you'll be busy with Sa'vor and I need to go now.

Kithle: You forget, I can project an image of myself pretty much anywhere I want.

Terra: That'll work, too.

Kanatash: Kithle, I would advise against sucking Sa'vor's brain. He is still a valuable asset to your Illithid empire. You should never wantonly destroy such a resource.

Kithle: I know, but I really wanted to. I've always wondered what a half-dragon/half-vampire/elf/whatever's brain would taste like.

Kanatash: If it's that big of a deal I'm sure Ketler can rig something up with a cloning machine.

Kithle: Good point. I suppose this means we have to turn him evil again.

Kanatash: Yeah, and I've already have a couple of ideas about what to do with him. However I want to wait a little while first.

Kithle: Why? I'll admit he is certainly no threat to us, but his goodness and gumdrops attitude is insufferable.

Kanatash: True, but our dear Sa'vor has undergone an alignment shift, nothing more. (evil smile) This means while he is good he's still a vampire and by my figures his need to feed should hit in the next day or so...

Kithle: (equally evil smile) I think I see where this is going. I concure, it should be highly amusing watching our new goody-goody Sa'vor struggle between the insane bloodlust and his new morals.

Kanatash: Decisions of that kind will drive most individuals mad and you know how much I love that kind of spectacle.

Kithle: And you keep saying I'M a bastard.

Terra: I shouldn't be gone long, but if Sa'vor snaps before I get back, be sure to get footage of it.

Kanatash: Can do. I was planning on getting some anyway. I want to save the image of this goody two-shoes going all evil for posterity. And possibly blackmail.

Kithle: Isn't that Norbaz's Schtick?

Kanatash: Who do you think gave me the recorder?

Chalky: Hey Sa'vor

Sa'vor: greetings

Chalky: Hey can I bum a few scales, you know I've always wanted to try to see what colors those would make.

Sa'vor: I don't see the harm, let me ju... AAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH

Chalky: Thanks (scampers off)

Sa'vor (minus most of his skin): that was unnessesary roughness.

Kithle: I can't believe he didn't kill you on spot!!

Chalky: I find that audacity and brutality can shock even the mightiest and most jaded of beings. Plus I really do want to try some paints with these, so I decided to stock while I have the chance. If he ever comes after I was trying to shock him back, okay.

Kithle: Okay, then I'll just take this faded patch.

Kanatash: I'm never gonna let him live this down. That scene alone is worth a century or two at least.

Kithle: Now in exchange for getting the gold to rebuild the Cloning machine you gotta promise not to clone any crew with names after this, redshirts are okay, and no Jaelas. I will hurt you if I see so much as one extra Jaela.

Ketler: Yeah yeah, threats of fates worse than death.

Kithle drops patch of Sa'vor skin into machine, Ketler hits lever (ever notice how many K's end up in this crews' names) Machine smokes and whistles like something out of a b movie.

Kithle: the spinny gadget on top was too much, but nice use of smoke machines.

Ketler: Everybody's a critic.

An unsteady Sa'vor clone walks out of the billowing smoke and is promptly lobotomized.

Kithle: My word that was exquisite.

Ketler: This is not going to end well. No way this is not going to end in pain. My question is though how did you get Norbaz to pay for all this?

Kithle: I offered him the secret to an ingredient guaranteed to add at least 2 alarms to his Chili.

Ketler: (stares at corpse) I wish I could muster up some shock. At least it's only until this one runs out cloning a clone is asking for trouble and I doubt Sa'vor will stay like this too long.

Kithle: Yeah that's why I'm gonna tell Satnak too.

Ketler: Ok now impressed. Kithle you bastard.

Defeated, the warforged once known as Stupid/Scholar mopes about a cell in the brig along with Phollie. Suddenly the warforged straightens with a new look of evil genius on his face. Anyone looking reeeeeeaaaaaaalllllllll close would have noticed that one of his eyes flashed black and the other silver.

Warforged: Phollie, are pondering what I'm pondering?

Phollie: I think so, friend—

Brain: Call me Brain.

Phollie: I think so, Brain, but they don't have Twinkies in this dimension.

Brain: No you long-faced short-brain, we must prepare for tonight.

Phollie: Why, Brain, what are we going to do tonight?

Brain: The same thing we do every night, Phollie. Try to convert Ninja Jaela………into PIRATE JAELA!

Chorus: They're Phollie… they're Phollie and the Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, dodle-le-do-do—

Phollie: But we've never done that before.

Brain: *bonks Phollie over the head with a closed fist*

Somewhere in Sharn, Terra and Kithle stand before a wall in a back alley...

Terra: Here we are.

Projection of Kithle: There's some pretty heavy duty magic in effect here. Illusion spells?

Terra: To name one, yes. I rigged a system where you could only get in if it recognized you. Otherwise, any number of extraordinarily nasty things can happen. Unless, of course, you have magic immunity. Even then, you have to know where to look.

Terra goes up to the wall and places her hand on one of the off-colored bricks. The spell fades for a moment, revealing a door.

Terra: Shall we?

Passing through several more magical locks, they arrive in what can only be described as a small lobby. A few people walk about, but it is otherwise unremarkable. The receptionist looks up at them and immediately stands at attention.

Receptionist: M-ma'am?! We were unaware of your arrival!

The other people look up and freeze, mixed looks of fear and respect on their faces. Several nervous glances are directed at Kithle as well.

Terra: Stand down, I'm just here for a quick inspection. Could you inform Greg I have returned?

Projection of Kithle: Greg? Rather uninventive name...

Terra: Generically named disposable henchmen, a step up from Redshirt. Makes it easier to keep track of them.

She hands the receptionist a note as well. She reads it, bows, and runs off on her errand. They continue down the hall to her office, stopping before the door.

Projection of Kithle: Wow. You run a tight ship.

Terra: Looks can be deceiving...

Opening the door, Terra dodges three darts, a poisoned dagger, a bucket of acid, and counters several contigency spells, all with a sense of normalcy.

Projection of Kithle: What the hell was that all about?!

Terra: Oh, just the usual. I'm actually rather disappointed at their efforts this time.

She walks over to the desk, purposely setting off more traps, then sits down.

Projection of Kithle: Once I take care of business, I'll give you a tour.

(Its midnight, the Forgotten Freedom is still docked in Sharn ( mainly becausev no one can touch them and its funny to see how edgy the watch gets) a black cloaked figure walks up the gangplank and stands before Sa'vor)

Sa'vor: Greetings traveller

Black cloaked figure: Greetings cousin

Sa'vor: Tara?

Tara: Yes

Sa'vor: How did you find me? Its been at least thirty years since we last met,

Tara: Tt has, I tracked you down by using detect magic, such a huge source of magic can't hide for long. I'm disgusted you've joined the light side, after everything they did to you.

Sa'vor: All things can be forgiven

Tara: (projects memories) Like this?

(A juvenile Sa'vor cowers as a mob of children pelt stones at him screaming " Get the abomination", Sa'vor renembers the blood dripping from his face, the pure pain of their hatred)

Sa'vor: They were just children, children cannot understand that we are all equal inside

Tara: Well, what about this memory?

(This time Sa'vors older, he starts to walk towards a village, an flaming silver arrow imbeds itself in his arm. he screams in agony and hits the floor writhing as its holy flames sear his tainted flesh. the same mob surrounds him and begins to beat him with sticks this time screaming " Weak, your tainted blood is weak" and " why don't you just end it, abomination?")

Sa'vor: (Brushes a hand across the scar) Sometimes people are blinded by their faith

Tara: Well, what about these memories passed down from our family line?

(This image is older, seen through the eyes of a child being led away, dragons and elves attack and slaughter the members of house D'Vol. a lithe ranger is torn apart by dragon claws. mages are immolated by flame breath, beneath the childs feet lie the twisted and tortured bodies of the house D'Vol guards, some with flesh burned by acid. some just crumbling skeletons. before the child's eyes a guard is decapitated by an elven scimitar, the child sees her mother cut down and hacked apart by curved blades before she and a few others are teleported away.)

Sa'vor: (Just catching on to the fact Tara's there) Wait... I saw you die, thirty years ago, in this very city. you and the rest of my family were cut down by paladins. I saw it. I saw the bloodshed, you were innocent, they were innocent. They where after me.

Tara: And we told them nothing, you are of our blood, you are part dragon, like us.

Sa'vor: How could paladins do that to innocent people? How can anyone justify slaughtering innocents for their bloodline. Killing twisted murderers is one thing, they broke the laws and are not protected by them. They deserve to be sent to death.

Tara: You've been blinded by your alingment change, you believe there's good in everyone. there isn't, there's only death and pain and darkness. you may feel contented, you may feel calm, but you don't see the suffering anymore, you dont see what good ruling the world has done.

Sa'vor: It's true, I don't see

Tara: Are you happy as one of white?

Sa'vor: I feel slightly happy....

Tara: Do you feel the ecstasy of magic you used to?

Sa'vor: I...

Tara: Do you?

Sa'vor: No, I don't, there is not joy in my magic. The only joy I ever felt... it's gone

Tara: And what is it traded for?

Sa'vor: Calm and serenity, which I could have gained as one of the dark.

Tara: Remember my death? Remember the tortured screams of the last of the Vol line? Your brethren?

Sa'vor: I do.

Tara: Do you renember the taste of blood ?

Sa'vor: I do

Tara: What do you feel for the paladins now?

Sa'vor: I ... pity and hate them.

Tara: Then all is as it should.

(Theres a sudden sphere of darkenss that consumes Sa'vor, when he reappears, his robes are gone, his armour returns. a black hood covers his face, his colourless eyes stare out with no compassion once more)

Sa'vor: I'm back...

Tara: How does it feel?

Sa'vor: I feel.. the pure hunger for knowledge and power, I feel the thirst for blood. I feel the hatred and the bloodlust, I feel the ecstasy of magic flowing through my viens.

Tara: Then all is as it should be

Sa'vor: What's the real reason you found me, Tara?

Tara: I discovered that someone raised Dra'vos, he's training himself to destroy you.

Sa'vor: Whom raised him?

Tara: Errandis D'vol, our old relative.

Sa'vor: how did you survive the attack?

Tara: When they killed me it was an image they killed, my real self was on Mabar, where I contracted vampirism like you did. then I returned here after about ten years on Mabar, i've been searching for the magical vaults the whole time. I found them, just before you did, and embraced their knowlege. then I began to search for you

Sa'vor: It seems you've found me, what's your objective now?

Tara: To bring about this empire you dreamed of, to help you build this army

Sa'vor: Yes, now that you're with us, nothing will stop our rise ....

Tara: Don't be so sure

Sa'vor: I know, I know. that's just the kind of traditional thing you say

Projection of Kithle: That was boring...

Terra: What was?

Projection of Kithle: Sa'vor changed back. Just like that. No blood, no madness, nothing.

Terra: Well, at least you and Chalky got something out of it.

At this time, there is a knock on the door, and a male human walks in.

Greg: (nervously) You called for me?

Terra: Ah, good timing. Kithle, this is Greg, one of my more promising underlings.

Projection of Kithle: He certainly fits the look of a henchman...

Terra: I left him in charge while I was away. But it seems that my faith was misguided.

Greg: (his face goes pale) W-what? What do you mean by that?

Terra: You honestly thought you could steal from me and get away with it?

Greg: Lies! I haven't done anything!

Terra: Silence, traitor!! I had an old friend of mine track you and your pathetic friends down. You hid your little scheme well, just not well enough.

Greg: Squishy...

Terra: Indeed. Your cohorts are already being rounded up. You know what happens to traitors here...

A look of terror consumes him and he bolts for the door. Before he gets there, Terra slams against the wall with a blast of Psionic energy.

Greg: (now pinned against the wall) Ugh... h-how are you...

Terra: I have gained a great deal more power during my absence. Though it isn't entirely necessary to deal with the likes of you, it makes it that much more fun.

Terra snaps her fingers and lets him down as two of her guards enter the room and take him away.

Projection of Kithle: Nicely handled. The look on his face was priceless.

Terra: It gets better. Wait till you see my punishment...

Projection of Kithle: We may have a new ally and a new enemy as well.

Terra: Bussiness as usual then

Projection of Kithle: I wonder how Sa'vor is going to react when he finds out about me eating a clone of his brain, especially the part where it gave me a big chunk of his powers.

Terra: He's not going to be happy, at the same time there's not much he can do about it at this point.

Projection of Kithle: Remind me to Satnak exorcise S/S somethings messing with him.

Terra: I really wish people would stop trying to possess the crew. It never ends well, for them. Plus it shows a lack of creativity at this point.

Projection of Kithle: Satnak's gotten enough practice recently, she actually does more than suppress the possessing entity, she can actually draw them out and consume them.

Terra: About done here.

Projection of Kithle: Oooooh great, now about that tour.

(A gang of twenty redshirts walk through the corridors, safe in the knowlege that Sa'vor is no longer hunting them and that nameless terrors do not attack people in large groups, at the back is Jimmy, a friendly sort of redshirt. completely harmless. but unfortunatly. he's at the back. and everyone knows what happens to people traveling at the back. the darkness reaches out and grabs Jimmy, his tortured screams echo throughout the ship.)

redshirt bob: what the?

Redshirt 112: where's Jimmy?

Nameless redshirt: he was here a second ago

(Something moves, and all the redshirts draw weapons)

Redshirt JJ: what was that?

Redshirt bob: it.. it could have been somthing nameless and horrible... you know .. about to tear our souls from our bodies

Redshirt 122: you had to say that, didn't you! you couldn't you just keep your mouth shut!

Nameless redshirt: let's just keep moving

(They continue to travel along the corridors, thier lanterns illuminate a huge pool of blood and a horrible mangled corpse. huge rents are in its armour, horrible wounds and gashes leak blood and enlarge the pool. the corpse's face is twisted into a terrible scream, the last scream of someone in horrible agony)

Redshirt Bob: Oh Khyber ! it's Jimmy!

(He runs towards Jimmy, not noticing the fine silk like strand of piano wire across the corridor. he runs into it at full pelt. his throat slit by the fine wire and a spray of blood splattering the walls)

Redshirt 122: HOLY ****!

Nameless redshirt: I think I'm going to be sick...

redshirt JJ: guys, I think you should see this

(They shine the lanterns to reveal a message written in Jimmy's blood, the message reads " So many redshirts and so little time")

Redshirt 122: this is not good

(The shadows move and redshirt 422 fires his crossbow, the shadows don't react and reach out for him. he screams in terror and vanishes. the red-shirts huddle together their crossbows primed) Nameless redshirt: (panicking) oh Khyber oh Khyber oh Khyber, we're gonna die. WERE GONNA DIE! ( he sprints off back the way they came, the shadows pulse around him, he screams and the redshirts watch the bloody and violent death he suffers. his mangled corpse is thrown to the floor. other redshirts panic and run off into the darkness, only to be cut apart by the shadowy entity, blood now dripps from all the walls and corpses ( headless or otherwise) now litter the ground. all that's left is Redshirt 122 and Redshirt JJ. )

Redshirt JJ: look 122, there's something I want to tell you before I die

Red-shirt 122: yeah?

Redshirt JJ: 122, I've always hated you the most. and I hope when its fininished with my corpse that it spends extra long rending you limb from limb

Red-shirt 122: thanks, I'm sure I'll enjoy watching you die

(Redshirt 122, screams as a bolt of red light strikes him, he then explodes in a shower of gore and blood, a black armoured form steps from the shadows, a black hood covering his face. he stares down at the cowering form of Redshirt JJ. all JJ can see in the light of the lantern are two colourless eyes) Sa'vor: I'm sparing your life, redshirt

redshirt JJ: why ? why don't you just kill me and get it over with?

Sa'vor: now go, go and tell all the other redshirts what happened here. go tell them that I'm back, go tell them the horrible, horrible things I'm going to do to them before I drink them dry

Redshirt JJ: why?

Sa'vor: because then they'll try harder to get away, because then they have a chance of possibly ascending to crewhood. oh and because blood tastes better from someone who's afraid beyond belief. and I enjoy hunting difficult prey.

Redshirt JJ: I'll go now

(He runs off into the darkness, and behind him he hears the horrible maniacal laughter of Sa'vor. a sound that haunts him for the rest of his life. every night he remembers that laugh. and the horrible colourless eyes.)

Igor steps up behind Sa'vor, totally unnoticed. He surveys the bodies of the redshirts.

Igor: Thuperb, thir, if you don't mind my thaying.

Sa'vor: Not at all, Igor. After all, you've worked for more people like me than anyone on Eberron. Even I like hearing how I compare to others… though I don't let it go to my head.

Igor: That bit with the wire—

Sa'vor: Well, they can't all be traditional. I mean, traditions have to start somewhere.

Igor: I remember for Mathter Haarghuul it was a thkeleton.

Sa'vor: What?

Igor: A Dhakaani necromanther I onthe worked for. He lured the thubject clother, and then the thkeleton thprang out of the body and attacked. You thee, he thecretly animated it. There wath a man with a thenthe of black humor.

Sa'vor: Wow, that is good.

Igor: The motht important quality in a villain ith alwayth the willingneth to meth with people'th mindth.

Sa'vor has a suddenly realization. It strikes him like Norbaz's chili strikes the stomach.

Sa'vor: So that's why you work for Jarlot!
