Since the sequencing failed, Nick's attempt at cheating was never discovered, but it did permanently cure him of the idea that there was any way to approach a difficult task apart from head on. Nick has risen slowly but steadily through the ranks during his career, with many commendations for bravery under fire, but with few published discoveries to his name.
