History

Augustine was a Montreal native; her childhood was harsh, her mother an alcoholic and her father walking out on them when she was merely four years old. Traumatised and violent, the child welfare services took notice of her and, when they realised that her mother was incapable of caring for her, they took her away to a foster home. That was only the start of Augustine's troubles.
