Ensign T'Kel

Name: T’Kel

Species: Vulcan

Rank: Ensign

Position: Command/Helmsman

Phrase about past: T’Kel is a inquisitive new member of Starfleet, much more knowledgeable about Vulcan than the galaxy at large.

Beauty: 2

Courage: 4

Cunning: 4 (Racial Bonus)

Strength: 2

Prowess: W

Wisdom: 3

Aspects:

Vulcan Mind:

Invoke: Vulcan physiology and mental conditioning allows for mind melds, allowing the rapid transfer of concepts and information. Compel: The same conditioning forces T’Kel to spend time forming a logical plan when immediate action seems more reasonable to others.

Perfectionist:

Invoke: T’Kel is driven to be the best at what she does, and is prone to spending long hours perfecting what she sees as her arts. She is exceptional when her meticulous preparation is allowed to bear fruit. Compel: T’Kel views her lack of understanding of other species as a deep weakness, even then failing to understand that not all things can be quantified. This leads to her seeking reason behind the actions of aliens which may not even have one. When put in a situation where silence is more tactful, T'Kel will grill others on their reasoning.

Background:

T'Kel is a graduate of the Vulcan Science Academy, and Star Fleet Academy. She is newly commissioned as an Ensign on the Intrepid, her first assignment in Starfleet. Since her arrival on the vessel, she has clearly been very busy, settling in and familiarizing herself with her role. She has recently been pushing the limit of her allotted holodeck hours, apparently running exhaustive piloting and tactical simulations. The rest of her off duty time is primarily spent in the mess hall or other recreation areas, evenly split between apparent people watching and reading- again, entirely task-orientated literature. She has thus far proved very quiet, but approachable.
