Background

Margaret Jones is the daughter of David Jones, a notorious Grifter with no principals. Having been taught everything by her father, Margaret used her skills at cold reading to strive as a psychic. To her, fortunetelling is an alternative form of psychiatric therapy - it's up to her, the therapist, to uncover the demons in her patients and banish them.

Everything went well until another (fake) psychic, Starlight Prince (yeah, I know) showed up in town. The Prince set up TV shows and openly read fortune based on nothing but blood type or zodiacs. This annoyed Margaret. Fortune-telling is supposed to be a private, personal activity. Randomly dispense predictions on TV is simply irresponsible in her eyes.

Margaret's annoyance turned to rage when she discovered that the Prince had been charging elders, widows and parents all their savings for a 5-minutes session, and these elders, widows and parents were Margaret's friends. So Margaret set up a scheme to take the Prince down, and she did end up conning the man pretty bad.

Sadly, Margaret's identity was blown during the execution of the scheme. Even though she did return all the money the Prince took, the people she once called friends still called her a liar and cast her out as if she's a real witch. Realizing that little can be done in this world with good intention alone, Margaret set out to find her next big score.
