History

Augustine was a Montreal native; her childhood was harsh, her mother an alcoholic and her father walking out on them when she was merely four years old. Traumatised and violent, the child welfare services took notice of her and, when they realised that her mother was incapable of caring for her, they took her away to an orphanage. That was only the start of Auggie's troubles.

Unwilling to accept being taken away from her mother (as dysfunctional as her relationship with her was), Auggie ran away from her foster homes several times; invariably, her temper and violent outbursts would see her outstay her welcome and get sent back to the orphanage, until a new set of foster parents would decide to try to tame the wild child. When she reached puberty, matters only got worse as men began to notice her blooming body; her abuse went unheeded, as the orphanage preferred to keep such matters quiet, pretending they didn't happen.
