Two gods met to discuss politics over a cup of decidedly inferior tea. It had been a long and gruelling day in Creation, with little good to report.
One of them tried, feebly, to be upbeat: "At least," he said, "At least Rivers Between Us hasn't yet learned of the Charms of Apotheosis."
The other scowled and said a single word. "Yet."
Two gods drank their tea in silence.
