Ka'bunl

The Ka'bunl, a race that uses both silicon and carbon in their body structure. They're very carefree, their society having hit a post-scarcity level long ago. Every Ka'bunl is augmented to some extent, starting just after birth, when they are implanted with a node that allows connection to their communications network. While Ka'bunl are individuals, this connection from such an early age tends to make them all strangely similar, as ideas and fads are absorbed instantaneously across the entire race. Not quite a hivemind culture, they still have such a strong cultural identity that, to most other races, one Ka'bunl is the same as any other. Since their technology is advanced past their actually needing to work, most Ka'bunl spend their time exploring the galaxy and getting on everyone else's nerves.
