Everyone knows there were no WMDs in Iraq, and certainly none used during Operation Desert Storm. Then-Major Phillips was assigned forward with a small team of "experts" and a detail of Special Forces 'In The Know', placed forward to the Ziggurat of Ur prior to the War. Operation GARDEN PLOT pulled the plug on Saddam Hussein's use of non-conventional materials to make war against the Allied forces, and at minimal losses that were never on the books. Major Phillips, one mission specialist and three SF returned to their normal assignments in 1993, after an extensive debrief.

She retired from the Army in 1998, it was, in her words, a young man's game any more, though as with all in this particular Branch, "Once in, Never out". Due to her feeding, in a judicious manner, of intelligence to those who were in need of it throughout her career, Colonel Phillips still is found as useful and has contacts in the various intelligence networks.
