Asagi is the eldest daughter and heir to the Kurosawa Clan, the oldest and most respected ninja clan in existence, which pretty much makes her the closest thing to a Ninja Princess that exists.  Once known as the the Iga Clan long ago, the Kurosawa Clan has specialized in the arts of shadow and illusion, transforming what was originally a group of clever and resourceful shinobi into a clan of chi manipulators easily able to make an opponent see what isn't there, or NOT see what ''is'' there.

Unfortunately, despite her exalted heritage, Asagi isn't exactly a model ninja.  Although she is well trained in the illusionary arts of her family, Asagi is clumsy, gullible, and all-around inept as a true ninja.  Despite that, she never gives up; all too aware of her lineage and responsibilities, Asagi takes her role as the heir of the Kurosawa seriously, and shows a remarkable adeptness with chi-fueled illusions, especially for someone who has the distressing tendency to trip over her own shadow.

Beautiful and elegant despite her other physical shortcomings, Asagi remains cheerful, eager, and utterly unaware of the effect she has on the young male ninja around her.  "Happy yet ditzy" probably best describes her.  Her greatest wishes in life are to find a true friend, find true love, and to make her papa and uncles proud, in that order.
