== Introduction ==

M-Space is a Science Fiction game using the RQ6/Mythras Rules-set

This is the wiki page for 'Lost in M-Space', a Play-by-Post that will be run on the rpg.net PbP forum. I'm Waiwode, the GM. We're at barebones right now, but more will be added as things get rolling.

The Galactic Confederation (GK) is a central authority with little real power over several largely independent states.

===La Solomani Kunlabora Asocio===

The Terran Collaborative Association (SKA) is the largest faction in the GK, yet the most divided one. Terra never truly embraced world government, and after the Dust War allegiances devolved to continental polities. The Martian Colonial Combine (Marsano Kolonia Kombinu/MKK, untouched by the devastation of the nano-war, positioned itself as the fiscal and industrial leaders of the SKA, Centuries later that position that is challenged by Terran corporations and successful colonies around distant stars.

===La Centauri Estelar Urbo-ŝtatoj===

Centauri is a misnomer. As their scouting City-State was discovered in orbit around Proxima Centauri,early human explorers immediately labelled the non-verbal species as Centauri, and the name has stuck among vocalizing species ever since. The Centauri Stellar City-States (CEU) are another council within a council. Living their lives in orbital cities, with floating factories and orbital farms, each city-state is in theory independent of the others.

==The Forerunners==

Creation and visitation myths abound in many cultures. However before the Dust War human explorers found an ancient sculpture on Rhea, the second largest of Saturn's moons. The figure is depicted partially reclining with one hand on its knee, the other obscuring its chin.

Upon first contact with the Centauri, Year 0, the resemblance to The Statue was noted. However there were a number of differences as well. Divergent evolution, or possibly devolution, has been explored, however the Centauri Memetic History records no voyage to the Terran home system.

===Forerunner Artifacts===

There are, across known space, several large objects left in solar or planetary orbit that are seen as footprints of the Forerunners. These are seen as more than scientific curiosity, religions have sprung up around them.

====The Plate of Belem 295====

Just under two kilometres in diameter, and under one metre in thickness, this vast metal plate spins in its orbit around Belem 295, a blue-white A V star. There is no sign of life or past occupation. The spinning does create a flickering effect, a giant impractical beacon for stellar cartography.

====The Cubes of Ved 882====

Ved 882 is a main sequence yellow-orange star with two planets in the habitable zone. One is registered on early surveys as supporting life, with a nitrogen rich oxygen atmosphere. In geostationary orbit around a 15 degree North axis and 19 degree east axis are a series of hundreds of stone cubes.

Ved 882 is listed as a Scarlet Alert system, and further exploration has always been denied.
